"Ideal little hideaway in ideal little village. 4 days of peace, quiet and relaxation. Even the weather (snow!) didn't spoil it as coming back to a roaring log fire was so enjoyable! Will be back again"
"2nd visit to this cottage, and it is a wondeful place to spend Christmas and New Year. Hope to be back soon."
“Beautiful little cottage with an excellent location very close to the beach and high street.”
After making this self-catering Aldeburgh holiday cottage structurally sound, it was sympathetically restored to create two period one-bedroom cottages. The renovation project was an exciting journey of discovery, with fire places saved, brick floors uncovered, original joinery preserved and rotten window frames carefully measured and replaced with exacting copies. Inside and out the walls of the house have been lime-washed with natural pigment colours, and linseed oil paints used on the exterior woodwork. This self-catering Aldeburgh holiday cottage and it’s sister cottage Hidden Cottage are ideal for couples who enjoy quirky period features mixed with contemporary flair.
