The White House with Studio is a wonderfully quirky self-catering home where you can enjoy a holiday to remember with friends and families, relaxing in the comfort of your holiday home or exploring the stunning Suffolk Heritage Coast, North Suffolk villages and the popular Norfolk Broads at any time of the year.

Wortwell sits on the River Waveney which forms the county boundary of Suffolk and Norfolk. The village name originates from 'Wort', found to spring from a well, when the local brewer was happy with the beer brewed from the Wortwell he would ring a bell to let the local residents know. To this day you can enjoy a good pint at the appropriately named The Wortwell Bell which also has a varied menu with delicious steaks, burgers, popular pub classics, gluten-free and vegetarian dishes, with freshly made wood-fired pizzas on a Friday.

Towns of Halesworth, Diss and Harleston are close; the latter being a vibrant market town filled with historic buildings and an impressive array of independent shops, chemist, delicatessen and several coffee shops. A stunning drive takes you from the property through the group of villages known as The Saints through to the coast at Southwold and the popular Walberswick, famous for its world crabbing competition.

A well behaved dog is welcome downstairs. Please provide the breed of your dog at the time of booking.

The high road runs down the side of the garden with a hedge shielding it from view. The garden isn’t fully enclosed so children need to be supervised.

Please note that the stairs are typical of a period cottage, very steep and quite narrow with a hand-rail from the ground to first floors to steady you. The stairs from the first to second floors are also steep with low ceilings, unfortunately not suitable for larger guests or guests with a mobility problem.

Sorry, no smoking or unaccompanied teenagers.
