All rooms open off a long hallway with three equally charming bedrooms, one with a modern shower room plus a family bathroom. The open plan living space is a great place to socialise with living space overlooking the patio, dining area and well equipped kitchen.
In good weather the sunny patio, furnished with table and chairs, is the perfect place for long lazy lunches or a BBQ after a day in one of the nearby market towns or on the beach at nearby Southwold. There’s plenty of parking in the huge gravel driveway and ample space for kids and dogs to run around.
Ground floor: The Mulberry’s very well designed so all rooms face south, opening off the long hallway with wooden floor running through and carpet in the bedrooms.
Living Space A super light and airy living space combining well equipped kitchen, dining and living areas – ideal for socialising with family and friends.
Two large sofas are positioned next to the wall of windows overlooking the surrounding countryside with double doors opening onto the sunny south facing patio The room features gorgeous artwork, large statement mirror, and modern LED lamps. Entertainment’s provided with flat screen TV.
A sturdy table and six chairs sits next to the stylish kitchen which is well equipped with integrated appliances including an electric oven, induction hob and extractor, Integrated fridge with four drawer freezer beneath; dishwasher, washing machine, free standing microwave and Nespresso coffee machine.
Master bedroom Elegant double aspect bedroom with super king size bed and matching bedside tables plus a built in wardrobe.
En-suite shower room A good sized modern en suite with shower, WC, wash basin, heated towel rail and south facing window.
Guest Bedroom Another sunny bedroom overlooking the garden and fields, with king size bed, matching bedside tables and chest of drawers.
Twin bedroom A stylish south facing room with twin beds, bedside tables and a chest of drawers.
Family Bathroom Conveniently located for guests in the guest and twin bedrooms as well as the living room, with bath, shower, wash basin, WC, heated towel rail and natural light.
Outside The Mulberry is a detached single-storey holiday home sitting down a long drive on Highfields Farm with only the owner's house nearby (not too close for comfort though!). There's a large lawned garden (perfect for a game of catch or ball game) with lovely furnished south facing patio for long lazy lunches or starlit suppers with virtually no light pollution. There's a gravel drive with ample space for three cars.
There is now a new shed adjacent to The Muberry, for secure bike storage.

Our fourth stay at The Mulberry was wonderful.
It was spotlessly clean, as always, and so comfortable & cozy. The owners, Chris & Kirsty, have thought of everything to make it ‘home from home’. Thank you for the thoughtful welcome gifts too. Our greyhound loved exploring the large outside space. We have already booked visit number five for next year, can’t wait! We highly recommend the food at the beautiful old pub The Queen’s Head, 18 minutes drive away in Bramfield, delicious!
We have stayed in many Best of Suffolk properties, which have lived up to the star ratings and expectations.
The Mullberry looked good online but in reality was not. The pictures were obviously taken 9 years ago when the property was new. This would not have been a problem if the property had been maintained and cleaned adequately. The property was dirty to the extreem of dog diarrhoea under a bed in the childrens bedroom. The bathroom sinks and plugholes were dirty with hair in the shower drains. Blood on a pillowcase and hair in the bed. Food debris and dog hair under sofa cushions and furniture that had not been cleamed under. Greasy oven trays. The property had two air freshners in each room which obviously was to disguise the musty smell whem removed to sleep. We contacted the owner on arrival regarding the dog faeces. He stated 'Im on my way to Lowerstoft for a swim, what do you want me to do about it?'. We requested he clean it up or send the cleaner. He reluctantly returned and cleaned the carpet, saying the best cleaners had been in to clean when I mentioned that the furniture had not been cleaned under or the faeces smelt. Felt unable to mention the above to the owner as he apoeared very defensive and it was not for him to deal with. The surrounding area was lovely but we would not visit this property again as we do not expect to pay to holuday in a property that needs a deep clean before the holiday begins.
This was our fourth visit, and have booked again for next year.
This place is well equipped, clean and has very comfortable beds. There are lots of lovely walks. For us it fills all the criteria we want.
