‘Somewhere Only We Know’ is located on Saxmundham Road which leads into Aldeburgh; a short walk from the vibrant High Street with art galleries, pubs and fine restaurants, independent shops and quaint cinema. A short walk takes you to Kings Field park and playing field which is fabulous for children and dogs. There are miles of walks through the marshes and beyond from here to explore.
There is a golf club, and sailing clubs with wonderful walks along the Alde estuary and unspoilt shingle beach to the iconic village of Thorpeness or the Martello Tower and sailing clubs. Local attractions include the world famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall, and the nature reserves at North Warren, Minsmere and Havergate Island.
A well-behaved dog is welcome downstairs. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking.
Please note that between 2nd - 20th November 2020 there will be external maintainence to the front guttering and porch. This work will be non-invasive.
