Skylark at Southwold

Skylark is ideal for a couple wanting a seaside holiday or short break. Positioned on the second floor at 18 Tibby’s Way, an award winning scheme by Ash Sakula architect, it has a double aspect open plan and well equipped living/kitchen/dining room, a bedroom with a zip and link super-king size bed giving the option of double or twin beds and a bathroom with shower over.

A great feature of this self-catering accommodation is the large private roof terrace with table and chairs, which is accessed by stairs and allows guests to relax in the fresh air.

Ground Floor
A shared staircase rises to the second floor where the door opens to Skylark’s hallway and a second door opens to steps rising to the private roof terrace.

Second Floor
Guests are welcomed into a hallway with doors opening to the bedroom, bathroom and open plan living room.

Living Room/Kitchen/Dining Room
Located on the second floor and with double aspect windows, this is a lovely light room with wooden floor.

The kitchen area is well equipped with Neff appliances including a washer/dryer, dishwasher, electric oven with gas hob. Furnished with a table and four upholstered chairs, large corner sofa, coffee table, occasional table, TV unit housing the flat screen TV with Freeview.

With super-king zip and link bed, guests have the option of a double or twin. There’s plenty of storage in the mirrored built-in wardrobe with shelves, as well as a chest of drawers and bedside tables.

There is a bath with a hand held shower attachment, a hand basin, and a W.C.

Skylark has a super sunny roof terrace, reached by a staircase from the landing, with pots planted with seasonal flowers. Furnished with a table and three benches, it’s a great spot for guests to relax in the sun with a good book or to enjoy a spot of alfresco dining.
Between 10th June 2022 and 22nd July 2022 a seagull has nested with her young on the roof terrace. Adult gulls are very protective of their nesting areas which will impact use of the outside space. As a protected species, we are unable to relocate the nest until the young have fledged.

Whats Included?

All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.

This first floor Southwold holiday let is equipped with gas-fired under-floor heating. Appliances include a flat screen TV, FreeSat TV channels, DVD/CD player, Ipod docking station, gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher, tall fridge-freezer, washer- dryer and a microwave. There is wooden flooring throughout. WIFI is available.

A travel cot and high chair are available from the property owners on request at the time of booking.

The sandy beach is adorned with a string of colourful beach huts that lead along to Southwold Pier at one end and towards Southwold Harbour at the other end.

There is a pretty walk through the harbour and over a footbridge to the picture-postcard village of Walberswick, home to two good pubs (The Anchor and The Bell) and a long sandy beach. Fresh fish can be bought from the fish huts along the harbour. Southwold is home to the Adnams Brewery and the town's excellent pubs include one of our personal favourites, The Lord Nelson where you can try a range of Adnams bitters.

One well-behaved small dog is welcome on request at the time of booking, subject to our usual terms and conditions.

Once you have filled out the online booking form, you will be given the option to pay by credit or debit card, or by BACs transfer. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking to secure your booking. The balance and a returnable good housekeeping deposit are due six weeks before your holiday commences.
