The property

Shingle Skies sits back from Crag Path with steps up to a front courtyard and front door opening into a communal hall with the door of the apartment giving access to stairs rising to the first floor. You're sure to create some happy memories in the impressive /living/kitchen/dining room where the chef in the group will enjoy the hand-made kitchen at one end with the view of marshes from the kitchen sink. There's also a cloak/utility room with washing machine. Carpeted stairs with antique ballustrade rise to the second floor where you can wake to the sun rising over the sea in both the twin and master bedrooms, the latter with a unique shower room in addition to the modern family bathroom. The third bedroom has wonderful balcony where you can enjoy views of Aldeburgh marshes and the estuary. The whole apartment has been furnished to our usual high standards with quality furniture and elegant soft furnishings. The raised terrace on Crag Path at the front of the house is furnished for you to enjoy meals overlooking the shingle beach and sea in this privileged position. First Floor You're welcomed into a small communal hall with doors to the ground floor flat and your holiday home exclusively ahead of you. Carpeted stairs rise to the first-floor landing and upwards to the top floor. Both the spacious reception room and cloak/utility room are on the first floor. Living/Kitchen/Dining Room This simply stunning double aspect room oozes character with the big bay sash window with uninterrupted views of the sea to the east, sink under the kitchen window looking out to the marshes and estuary, reclaimed wooden floors and wood burner in the fireplace. Hand-made kitchen units wrap around one end, housing a large fridge with two door freezer beneath, Professional Rangemaster with electric range cooker and gas hob and dishwasher. The remainder of the room is beautifully furnished with seating and dining furniture designed for you to relax. Cloak/Utility Room Conveniently close to the living room, with WC, washbasin and washing machine. Second Floor Stairs rise from the first to second-floor landing with doors to all three bedrooms, the en-suite and bathroom, with a wardrobe with hanging space for guests. A gorgeous balcony runs along the back of the apartment, accessed from the bedroom and furnished for relaxing in the afternoon and evening sun. Master Bedroom Wake to the most amazing views of the sun rising over the sea. This room is furnished with a king size bed, bedside table and chest of drawers. En-Suite Shower Room Exquisite tiles have been installed in the large shower cubicle which has a shower rose and hand shower, plus WC, wash basin, heated towel rail and cosy under floor heating. Twin Bedroom This cosy bedroom also has fantastic sea views and is furnished with twin beds (2'6" x 6'3" each) and storage. Marsh Bedroom Another beautiful bedroom with king size bed has the added advantage of a superb west facing balcony with amazing views over the rooftops to the marshes and estuary, where you can watch sailing from the yacht and sailing clubs. Bathroom Well located for the twin and back bedrooms; this plush bathroom with under floor heating has a roll top bath under the sash window, shower cubicle with both a shower rose and hand held shower, WC washbasin and heated towel rail. Outside The raised terrace in front of the house is a prvileged spot to relax and watch the world go by; it's shared with the ground floor apartment and is furnished with a table and chairs (available from Easter to October half term) for outside dining. On road parking is usually available either immediately in front of the house on Crag Path or in nearby side streets. The beach is your playground, just a couple of strides away! There's also an amazing balcony running along the back, perched on the second floor with outdoor furniture (available from Easter to October half term) so you can enjoy views of the marshes and sailing on the estuary.

The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. For those wishing for a more action-packed holiday there is excellent walking, cycling, sailing and golf at Aldeburgh. Growing in popularity you will want to return to Aldeburgh again and again!
