Could the mugs be on a lower shelf, I’m only 5ft and my husband is disabled, I had to stand on a table to get down.

Need a non slip mat in the bath. TV very technical, need to put email address in to get onto I Player, difficult to work out. Router is white box plugged in near kettle, not obvious so don’t turn off. Location perfect as near to sea front, pub and high street. My husband has mobility.issues and can’t walk far . Ideal for 2 people but may be a bit crowded for 4 adults . Ok for children but slabs in garden may be dangerous for young children. No noise from upstairs. Difficult to get key out of key box.

Great location , easy reach town , eating places , beach etc Good to find a place that takes dogs and has downstairs accommodation for older folks .

Accommodation tired needs attention. The listing could mention the beds in the second bedroom being too low for older folk.

Trying to get hold of Sykes ridiculous cafe tiere was chipped only realised when went to use as was in cupboard ( on the spout) lost the bin but luckily found

The location of this property was ideal for us and after reading the previous reviews of noise from accommodation upstairs we were pleased that it must’ve been empty during our stay.

Perfect location just steps to the beach - flat had everything needed - couple of minor comments sofas not that comfortable and there is noise from upstairs flat which may bother some but we were aware from reading reviews before booking Lovely sash windows but couldn’t open one in main bedroom - needs attention as could do with fresh airing Would book again

Lovely styled property and ideal location, just a few steps from the beach.

The property had everything you needed and was very clean. However, sadly I would not recommend this property, we had a family above us and the noise was honestly unbearable. They sounded like a heard of elephants!! Neither us or our dog could settle with the racket going on. We could actually hear the person above us snoring at night too! The walls must be very thin and some noise proofing needs to be done. Luckily we was only there for 2 nights but any longer we would have been very tired. The sofas were also pretty uncomfortable. It’s such a shame as the property itself is lovely and is perfect distance from the beach.

A super apartment with everything we needed for our stay in Southwould, booking was easy and all communication good.

On arrival we had an issue with bed linen being stained which was promptly rectified by very helpful team both on the phone and in person which was awesome thank you. The apartment is in a super location and well designed and maintained however the apartment above could do with better soundproofing particularly in the bedroom section. We were unlucky that during our short stay both groups/family’s that stayed above us were up VERY early in the morning with alarms going off and showers being taken at 4 am and 6 am/6:30am so disturbed both us and the children in the bedrooms bellow. With the second set of guests arriving we sighed relief feeling we would have better luck however we were then met with very loud snoring and yet again another very early wake up call. Soundproofing was not an issue in the lounge / living area so it was a shock the bedroom was such a issue. Is it possible also that there could be an anti allergen pillow/ bedding supplied? … the beds were very comfortable however I’m allergic to feathers and the down bedding meant I slept with jumpers between my face and the bedding so as not to suffer soo badly. On vacating the apartment we also found the hoover broken with a note attached to say that it was out of order by a previous guest. It meant our experience in the apartment was mixed this time yet having stayed with bestofsuffok before we were expecting good things.

The property was lovely and comfortable.

The only downside is noise from the upstairs flat. You can hear every movement and initially a family with young children running around.. the next group were adults but you could still hear TV, steps etc.. some way of sound proofing would make where we stayed a lot more comfortable.

We had a really lovely time, beautiful setting close to everything.

Well equipped and nicely decorated. Beds comfy and all kitchen utensils needed. Nice fire but no wood on arrival would have been nice touch. Settees weren’t very comfy but thankfully not in much so not too much a problem. Great location and perfect for us 3 with our dog. Beach a stones throw away brilliant. First visit to Suffolk will definately be back.

Noise from upstairs was sometimes disturbing.

Particularly early morning. Squeaky floorboards and footfall. Would carpeting assist? Bed somewhat uncomfortable and low. But we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay.

As a family we had both Osprey and Kestrel which worked well although outside space was a little bit small. Outside light not working which was only a small disadvantage. Being so close to the beach was wonderful.

We had a lovely couple of nights in Kestrel Wednesday and Thursday however a family arrived in the flat above on Friday which made Friday night and Saturday morning which honestly ruined the experience a little bit.

The family were not being particularly noisy but we could hear every word and footstep clearly. We had to put headphones on to fall asleep and were woken up early by them as well. It really is disappointing when you’re paying so much to stay somewhere. Just a couple of other things are that the welcome/property folder was very tired and again not in the condition I would expect for the money. The wheelie bins were not located where advised and I wasn’t able to locate them. Finally the outside light was not working.

This holiday apartment is absolutely lovely.

It was spotlessly clean, very cosy and within walking distance of the town, pier and beach. The little garden was perfect for our two little dogs and (accepting it was not high season) we managed to park right outside. We were lucky the upstairs apartment was not occupied during our stay as it was also really quiet and our dogs tend to bark if they hear noises! I would recommend this apartment and I would consider coming back another time.

Lovely apartment , contemporary quality decor, best location near the beach , we had our dog with us , he loved it, great garden Great pub - sole Bay inn just 2 mins away Other very good places to eat in the town and of course Southwold is wonderful, so much walking The only issue was the noise from upstairs apartment , could hear the conversation and children running about, luckily they left after 2 nights and it remained unoccupied Not sure what could be done re soundproofing ?

This is a beautiful property in the perfect location.

The apartment had everything we needed and was very clean, comfortable and cosy! It is decorated to a high spec and had everything we could have wished for! The reason we have given 4 stars and not 5 is because on our first night there was a family staying above us and the noise was noticeable. We were lucky that they left the next morning and the flat was empty for the rest of our stay making it perfect! But sadly this would put us off booking again.

We had a wonderful stay and Kestrel was perfectly located, clean and comfortable.

I would just like to note that sound proofing could be better, we felt as though the family in the flat upstairs were in the same room as us for most of the weekend! I slept (or didn’t sleep in fact!) in the bedroom at the back and could hear their baby crying most of Friday night and we could hear every footstep and clear conversation from the flat above. Just a note as we had a lovely weekend but this could be improved upon.

Perfect property and location for a New Year break with the family and dog.

Lovely to come away and experience Southwold.

A fantastic location for popping down to the beach or into the town. Despite it being chilly outside we've been warm and toasty inside Kestrel. Hoping to come back in the summer! Thank you.

Super food at the Sole Bay inn, Coasters and Harbour Inn. Very windy walks along the beach and returning to the warm cosy flat with a drink in hand made such good memories.

Quiet and close to the beach and pubs. Parking is a worry in Southwold, but we were lucky. We loved the flat and will hopefully return.

We had a lovely stay at Kestrel & Southwold.

Flat is lovely and we have no complaints. Enjoyed lots of walks in Southwold. Visited Aldeburgh, Woodbridge & Framlingham. Frequented many pubs, Sole Bay Inn & Red Lion were faves. Ice cream at H&S is lovely! 10/10 would visit again

Great stay - Kestrel very convenient location.

Kestrel - spotless, charming room decor, rooms very quiet, perfect. Lovely and quiet in Southwold as first visit in term time! Have been visiting for many, many years and Southwold and surrounding area never fails to delight. Beer / food excellent - tour to Adnams always good. Covehithe circular walk very pretty - erosion very evident by the cliffs & collapse of parts of them. Walk to Walberswick always beautiful.
