What our guests say

"The cottage was beautifully furnished and very well equipped.  Comfortable bed and lovely patio area for sitting out in fine weather.  Plenty of walks, both locally and further afield, such as Dunwich village (very interesting museum) and Dunwich Heath.  The Sizewell B visitor centre is well worth a visit, especially in wet weather, with attractive walks along the sand dunes.  Thank you for a very enjoyable holiday."

"What a super renovation, lots of through gone into making this a lovely place to stay.  Beautifully furnished with lots of useful items, the Dyson, very sueful!  The wine and nibbles a lovely touch, thank you.  This is certainly a guiet location, and so, so peaceful.  A web of well marked footpaths locally for us to explore, plus much more further afield.  We can recommend the White Horse Inn at Sibton, excellent food, also the White Horse at Badingham. Bruisyard is a small rural village set in beautiful and tranquil countryside by the River Alde in East Suffolk. The village is noted for the beautiful Grade 1 listed church of St Peter's which has a round tower that is believed to date from Saxon times, and for Bruisyard Hall which was the Abbey of the Order of the Poor Clares until the reformation when an Elizabethan Manor House was built on the site. Bruisyard is also known as the setting for the novel 'Joseph and His Brethren' by H.W.Freeman first published in 1928.

The Market Town of Framlingham, famous for having ‘The Castle on The Hill’ is less than five miles away and the Suffolk heritage coast is around 20 minutes by car.
A well-behaved dog is welcome downstairs. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking. The boot room is a perfect place for your dog to dry off before entering the property. Please clear up after your dog on the grounds at Carriage House. The garden and grounds are not enclosed.

There is a small step between the boot room and the kitchen and also out of the double doors.

The area under the stairs which leads to the bathroom has restricted head height due to the mezzanine floor above, and the mezzanine bedroom which is in the eaves may also not be suitable for tall people.
