Aldeburgh Lodge Gardens has been furnished to an exceptionally high standard with quality sofas, armchairs and beds which combine comfort with great style; designer tables including a striking Noguchi black ash coffee table and an extending dining table with six chairs, with colour introduced in artwork and generous rugs covering the oak flooring. All three bedrooms have brilliant sea views, one with convertible day bed to give flexibility for five guests or simply to be used as a studio or study.
Sitting on an elevated position set back from the coast road between Aldeburgh and Thorpeness, this holiday home has a single garage and 2nd off road space in the car park with a garden path leading through the front lawn to the house. A raised deck wraps around three sides with the spacious north facing garden designed to capture the sun with a with built in BBQ and decked area furnished for outside dining, or simply relaxing and making the most of the view.
You’re welcomed into a hall with glazed front door and access to the cloakroom, kitchen and living space. There’s a cupboard housing the washing machine, additional space for coats and beach gear and stairs rise to the first floor landing. Floors, other than the bathroom, are stripped wood, scattered with rugs and all windows have wooden blinds so you can make the most of the view and choose privacy when you wish.

This Suffolk holiday home is located on the beautiful coast road between Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. There's a gate from the back garden onto a footpath which runs down to the parking, just across the road from the shingle beach and just yards from the heart of the town, where you'll find excellent restaurants, pubs, cafes and a wide range of independent shops, convenience stores, art galleries and huts along the beach where local fishermen sell their wares. For dog owners, this is one of the best spots between 1st May and 30th September as dogs are only allowed on the stretch of beach in front of the house during these months.
The picture-postcard village of Thorpeness and world renowned Snape Maltings are also great places to visit nearby. The area is excellent for cycling, sailing or golf and there are many interesting walks, including Hazelwood Marshes and the Sailors’ Path which starts approximately ten minutes walk from the house and boasts some of the finest lowland marsh and heathland scenery to be found in the British Isles.
A well-behaved dog is welcome downstairs. Please note that only ONE dog is allowed here and please ensure that you respect the neighbours and don't let your dog bark too much or allow it to get out of the garden, which is fenced. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking.
Please note that, whilst precautions have been taken to contain children and pets on both the railing on the deck and below the deck, we do recommend supervision, particularly as there’s a small pond. Neighbours also have access through the garden to the path, although it’s rarely used.
