Parking for this semi-detached cottage is down a track, taking you well away from the road, with space for two cars and a path, bordered by grass and flower beds, leads to both the front door and double doors to the kitchen.
The front door opens into the light and airy open-plan living area, with doors to the cloakroom, utility room and back of the cottage, leading to the master bedroom, en suite and stairs to the first floor. There are double doors in the living area to both the back and front, as well as doors from the master bedroom to the patio. Beautiful oak flooring runs through the majority of the ground floor, with tiles in the en suite.
Open Plan Living Space
Fabulous open plan room, ideal for socialising at any time of the year, with light streaming in through skylights and double doors to the front garden and patio at the back for indoor/outdoor living in the summer, and two wood burners to take the chill off in the winter.
To the right is a well-equipped kitchen with central island housing two Bosch under-counter fridges and a breakfast bar with two stools. The Rangemaster double oven with separate grill and five burners is great for catering at home. Built-in units have an integrated Bosch dishwasher and there’s a free-standing microwave.
The dining and relaxed sitting area sits between the kitchen, with double doors opening to the patio. An extendable table can seat six or, if you have friends visiting, extended to seat ten, with six chairs (additional in the under stairs cupboard if needs be). A comfy sofa and couple of chairs sit around the wood burner and doors to the patio – the perfect place to relax at any time of the year!
To the left of the entrance is a comfortable TV area with a generous corner sofa, TV with DVD player, and wood burner set in the brick fireplace.

Carpeted stairs rise to a small landing, giving access to both bedrooms (carpeted) and the shower room.
This lovely sunny south facing room has sturdy twin beds with a bedside unit between them, plus a hanging rail, shelf and drawers so you can unpack and make yourself at home!

2 Pink Cottages is a semi-detached cottage located in a quiet position at the end of a private track, just a short walk into town or to the beach. There’s off road parking for two cars and a step free path leads through the front garden to the entrance. At the back is a private south facing patio, accessed from the master bedroom and the living area, where you can relax and enjoy leisurely meals at the teak garden table and chairs with parasol.
All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity, plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.
This self-catering holiday cottage is equipped with electric central heating and appliances include a TV with BT YouView and good WiFi connection. The kitchen is well equipped with two Bosch under counter fridges (one with ice box), a Rangemaster double oven with separate grill and five burners; an integrated Bosch dishwasher, a free standing microwave and charcoal BBQ for use on the patio. There’s a washing machine and condensor dryer in the utility cupboard and a small two shelf freezer in a cupboard in the TV room. Each of the bedrooms have black out blinds behind the curtains.
A travel cot, high chair and stair gate are available from the property owners on request at the time of booking.
This semi detached Suffolk holiday cottage is located within a short walk of the beach and the heart of the picturesque town of Aldeburgh with its excellent restaurants, pubs, cafes and wide range of independent shops, convenience stores, historic cinema, art galleries and huts along the beach where local fishermen sell their wares.
The area is excellent for cycling, sailing or golf and there are many interesting walks and places to visit, including the nearby Aldeburgh Marshes, picture-postcard village of Thorpeness and world renowned Snape Maltings which, in addition to having wonderful lifestyle, clothing and food shops, is the home to the Aldeburgh Music Festival.
A well-behaved dog is welcome downstairs. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the booking form and is subject to our conditions of booking. The rear garden is enclosed however their is a waist high fence so please keep an eye on your dog if it's a jumper!
Please note that the cottage is in a residential area so guests are asked to keep noise to a minimum, particularly in the evenings. Sorry, no smoking or unaccompanied teenagers.
2 Pink Cottages is well suited for guests with a mobility problem. The access is level (apart from a gradual incline in the paving at the front) and the front door is 2.03 wide, as is the door form the living area to the ground floor bedroom and bathroom (both doors here are 2.06). There are small lips between rooms. The shower has a 3ft entrance and is level access; there’s also a handrail on the wall next to the toilet. There’s also a door of 2.10 to the patio (with small lip) so you can sit in the sun.
Once you have filled out the online booking form, you will be given the option to pay by credit or debit card, or by BACs transfer. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking to secure your booking. The balance and a returnable good housekeeping deposit are due six weeks before your holiday commences.
