Woodbridge Penthouse

We loved our visit to Woodbridge, the accommodation was very comfortable.

We had some good walks around and had some supper meals.

Excellent apartment with views over the town of Woodbridge.

Apartment is well appointed with top of the range appliances and covers all your needs from eating in if you wish to washing and ironing. Very modern and up to date with comfy beds and pillows. Made for an enjoyable, relaxing holiday. Lin and Tony - Hampshire

The Penthouse was comfortable and spotlessly clean.

It was a temptation to spend time staring out of the windows at the town and the River’s tides and boats. Very handy for the good variety of restaurants and shops. We love the Strawberry Café in the Market Hill. We were baffled by the air fryer. We certainly hope to come again to the Penthouse and lovely Woodbridge.

It’s perfect close to everything.

It was a treat to stay in the lovely Woodbridge Penthouse - it was well presented, sparkling clean, stylishly comfortable and spacious.

It is ideally located for walking out from or for staying in and relaxing whilst overlooking the river, rail and rooftops. Would recommend.

Beautiful apartment in a stunning location.

On site parking very easy. Compliments on the high level of comfort and cleanliness. Gorgeous walks on the doorstep. Great choice of places to eat and drink all within easy walking distance. Several stunning towns and villages all a short drive away. Delightful place.

Excellent apartment, extremely well furnished, comfortable and well equipped.

Lovely views over river and town and enjoyed stepping out of the apartment and walking along the river and shopping in the town. Even in very cold winter weather the apartment was warm and cosy.

This is our second stay at Woodbridge Penthouse and we were once again captivated by the property and the high standards that are maintained.

It is a delightful apartment that has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and welcoming. It remains a firm favourite and we would be delighted to return.

Absolutely superb in every respect.

Spotlessly clean, welcoming and so comfortable. Easy car parking arrangement, which is a real bonus in Woodbridge, helped make this a hassle free holiday. This is probably the nicest apartments we have ever come across and hope that it is not too long before we return. Thank you to everyone involved.

This is a fantastic property with stunning views of the estuary and Woodbridge.

The train adds an additional fascination (without being intrusive) and of course gives easy connections elsewhere. The apartment is beautifully furnished, very comfortable, has everything you need, and has that Wow factor which makes a holiday special. Woodbridge itself is a lovely old riverside town with beautiful buildings, fabulous estuary walking (and running) paths, and lots of great shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. We look forward to returning soon.

This is the perfect home from home.

We stayed for 5 months, and had everything we needed. The beds are wonderful and the linens are of highest quality. It’s spacious with outstanding views across Woodbridge. Don’t worry about the trains. They go by so slowly and we became avid train spotters! There is so much to do in the area and so many cafes and restaurants. The Sutton boat reconstruction is very interesting, as is the museum, the Tide Mill and Sutton Hoo. The owner of the flat does everything to ensure your stay is memorable. We would recommend this apartment very highly, but you’ll want to stay longer than a week!

A beautiful location with amazing views over Woodbridge.

Don’t be put off by the railway line; the trains pass by so slowly and quietly that you don’t hear them. The view of the Deben, from the main bedroom, is stunning too. The flat is very well equipped, the hostess has thought of everything you might need and more.

.....a brilliant apartment very tastefully furnished, a super comfy bed and everything you could possibly need for your stay. Close to Woodbridge shops and lovely walks along the River Deben.

The Woodbridge Penthouse is a spacious and attractive third floor apartment with lovely views of the River Deben and the town.

We particularly enjoyed watching the trains as well; though the excellent windows and balcony doors meant it was not noisy. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms immaculate with fluffy towels and plentiful hot water. Our favourite was the open plan lounge with table and chairs (with views), the comfy sofas and the high end kitchen. The underfloor heating kept it cosy. We enjoyed everything on our doorstep, including the walk along the river path looking at the stunning river views, the historic Tide Mill, the nearby restaurants (The Woodyard Pizza and The Boathouse Kitchen and Bar), and how picturesque the area is. The town is worth a visit too with its eclectic range of shops and cafes, etc. We didn't want to leave the warmth and comfort of it the apartment. And hope to return in the springtime. The only suggestion we would make is perhaps the addition of smaller mugs or cups and saucers. And though a microwave is referred to in the Welcome Pack, there isn't one. We highly recommend staying at this super apartment! Thank you.

This property is absolutely stunning!

From the property we enjoyed the many fabulous views of Woodbridge, including the beautiful river and the bustling street leading up to the shops. The property is of an exceptionally high standard and everything impressed. The beds were incredibly comfortable leading to a lovely nights sleep. A fantastic location for exploring the river and enjoying the restaurants. The stone baked pizza restaurant is an absolute must. I also really recommend WOK IT for a delicious Chinese take away, only a 5 minute stroll from the property! I would definitely like to return to Woodbridge Penthouse next summer. Highly recommend!!!

The property was finshed to a very high standard.

The furnishings and equipment provided everything we needed to give us a very comfortable holiday. We would definitely recommend this property.

A well equipped, modern, well presented property ideally located for exploring Woodbridge and the surrounding area.

Ideal for me to walk out to photograph the river at sunrise and sunset each day. The master bedroom window would benefit from something to hold it open rather than just swinging freely.

The apartment is delightfully appointed with everything needed for a very comfortable stay. Recommend visits to Sutton Hoo, Southwold, Walberswick, Aldeburgh, Orford, Framlingham & Snape Maltings. Check out the Unruly Pig for a gourmet experience! Looking forward to a return visit.

We have had a really enjoyable six days!

We have explored Suffolk throughout the days, and evenings we have walked Woodbridge! We have enjoyed coffee at the local cafe's and restaurants. We have been extremely happy with our well fitted apartment, with really good quality beds, bed linen, furniture etc. We arrived back to superb meals cooked by our "in house" chef - hence the necessity to walk early evenings! Thank you!

A fabulous week in this extremely comfortable apartment.

It withstood the winds of Storm Henk well and we loved looking out at the River Deben. Recommend "The Gallery" restaurant and beverages at The Anchor. The Bull and lunch at the King's Head. Tremendous runs and walks along the estuary.

It has been our privilege and pleasure to have stayed in the Woodbridge Penthouse.

So sad to leave! The flats location is undeniably stunning and so convenient for all the needs and pleasures of life. Our hosts have shown consideration, support and friendship during our stay and we thank her for all her help.

Visiting Woodbridge has been a special time.

It is a special place, and lives up to its reputation as the happiest place to live in England. So it was a total bonus also that we stayed in the Penthouse. Everything about it is special. Cannot fault it. We will definitely be coming back.

Visiting our Dutch friends in Woodbridge and staying in this splendid apartment has been a real treat!

Everyone else has it before, but the over complete apartment - including the well equipped kitchen - has made our stay all the better. Comfortable check in and out (I presume) including the parking space, which was very easy and self serviced. All the instructions were very clear and it seems you have even arranged calm weather for our stay =) The surroundings are outstanding. We will return.

Compliments on the cleanliness of everything. Fab location. Ferry Quay Cafe - a stones through away, well worth visiting. Had lunch and breakfast - top quality food with the addition to the lovely river view. Had a great day in Southwold. What a beautiful place, as well as Aldeburgh. Great choice of places to eat and drink. Marlows and The Bull Inn served excellent food. This is a lovely part of England and look forward to returning. Thank you

A fantastic stay in one of the loveliest parts of the country.

We had some beautiful walks around the river and venturing out to Walberswick & Snape Maltings. Fell in love with Aldeburgh and got mildly windswept at Southwold! (Plus there's a great bookshop in Framlingham if you're out that way) Can't wait to come back to Suffolk again soon. Thank you!

Another wonderful break at The Woodbridge Penthouse (our 4th or 5th) As always, the apartment was immaculately clean and well stocked with all of the items you need for a self-catering stay.

trips to the local area of Southwold, Aldeburgh, Thorpeness & Framlingham, for lovely walks and of course, walking along the river Deben once we checked tide timings. Can recommend pizza from the Woodyard and tea/coffee and cake at the 2 Magpies Bakery. Thanks again for a lovely stay.

Really loved this flat.

Immaculately clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed and will no doubt return. The twin beds zip-linked together were really comfortable too.

This apartment itself is beautifully presented; warm, inviting and thoughtfully appointed with every detail you could wish for.

Highly recommended for anyone seeking a great place to stay in beautiful Woodbridge.

The Woodbridge Penthouse is a fabulous holiday stay in which we love! This is our third visit! We have enjoyed walks along the river, a trip to Aldeburgh and Southwold and a trip to Milsomes, Kesgrave. Really recommend Milsomes, The Strawberry Cafe on Market Hill and delicious wood-fired pizzas from the Woodyard below! Also a super spot for pre-dinner drinks is The Crown Hotel. It's Happy Hour every day late afternoon, early evening glasses of wine £5 each and Cruzcampo on £4.50 a pint! Thank you for a lovely welcome pack! Hope to return at Easter!

What a beautiful apartment and most stunning views!

We have had a wonderful week. Thanks also for the food hamper, this was a very welcome surprise. The holiday was a Christmas gift from our Daughter, such a lovely treat. We will hopefully be coming back.

It was impeccably clean on arrival with a lovely welcome basket. We've had sunshine everyday and the views of the Deben and the village of Woodbridge. We would not hesitate to come back here. Another wonderful week long stay at the Woodbridge Penthouse.

The apartment was perfect, weather was glorious. Had a lovely relaxing break, walking, reading, crafting and playing golf. Visits to Southwold, Aldeburgh, Thorpeness & Snape. Visited the boatyard (Longshed) under the apartment to see the work the amazing team are doing rebuilding the Sutton Hoo ship, well worth popping down and having a chat with the team. Then pop next door for a really tasty pizza. Already looking forward to our next stay.

This is such a wow apartment, so beautifully equipped and just love in a superb riverside location.

Woodbridge is lovely too and we were so lucky with this lovely weather during our stay. Thanks so much for the goodies, we'll be back for sure!!
