Sea Green Cottage, Walberswick

The property is wonderfully located in the gorgeous walberswick.

Our impression of the house itself though are mixed. Whilst it is in a gorgeous area, the house itself could do with a really good clean and redecoration. There were numerous cobwebs around ceilings, curtains and skirting boards, and the floors were not clean. Scuffs were all over the walls and woodwork and marks across bathroom walls. Radiators and curtains were dusty and inside chest of drawers had clearly not been cleaned for sometime time - these were dusty and had hairs inside them. I had to clean these myself before I could put away our clothes. The vacuum cleaner provided was poor - a broken handle taped together wouldnt encourage guests to keep the floors cleans On top of this there is no information welcoming you to the house and area. Usually rental cottages have a folder with local recommendations for restaurants etc etc as well as information about the house. There were leaflets from local attractions but I didn’t see any other information. It was only on the last day that I found the fire blanket and first aid kit in a cupboard next to the washing machine. It would have been helpful if the location of all the house related information was provided in a folder. There was a QR code provided for bin collection but this wasn’t working and I found the bins in the front of the house were full. I have no idea when the bins should have been put out for collection. Overall we had a lovely week but that is because walberswick and the surrounding area is so lovely. We were rather disappointed with the condition of the house.

We stayed here last year, it’s such a beautiful property.

Ideal location and the roof terrace is wonderful. It definitely needs some maintenance, the tv on the lounge wall is hanging at an angle and the roof terrace needs a lick of paint and lots of items were left just scattered such as hose pipes and other gardening items, these were all tidied away in the storage box last year. The fridge wasn’t properly cleaned either on arrival. I suspect this is due to the cleaning/maintenance company rather than owners. We love the properly and will definitely return.

Sea Green Cottage our THIRD YEAR and it’s starting to look a bit shabby, and needs a bit of attention from the owners.

1/ curtains need to be rehung, 2/ back double bathroom toilet roll coming off, 3/ drive way weeded and swept , 4/ front garden weeded, both looking so untidy gives a very bad impression of the property. Housekeeping leaving only ONE bin bag for our 2 week stay, only TWO washing machine tablets likewise, only 6 mugs were not enough, and no salad dryer in the summer was a problem. And the poor plants/ olive trees on the terrace need to be watered regularly they were looking very sorry for themselves. Never the less none of the above spoilt our stay in lovely Sea Green Cottage

A fabulous place to stay in Walberswick.

Well appointed plenty of space for 6 people. I’ve had several stays in different accommodation in the village but this is by far the best.

Located between two great pubs and a two minutes walk from the beach. I would definitely stay here again.

Very lovely cosy house. We had a brilliant stay over New Year. Would benefit from a coffee machine would be my only critique.

Had an issue with the shower door which wouldn’t open on our last morning and did find a cracked wine glass in the cabinet Love the properties position on the green as central to the village this was our second winter stay here .

. was cold on arrival would be nice to arrive to a warm house at this time of the year as we came in the evening after a lng journey and emptying a car A higher backed comfortable chair for older visitors would be great as we chose this property as it had a downstairs bedroom and bathroom but otherwise enjoyed the fire and the wonderful space .

Such a beautiful cottage and all the little extras so appreciated - the welcome pack, all kitchen/ cooking/fire place extras… (we’ve replaced anything we used). And lovely duvets on beds! Tiny suggestions which we hope helpful: - change the mattresses for both double beds as both were very creaky! - get shower squeegees so we can help clean the showers when using. Thank you for sharing your property - we love it!

The torch may need replacing it didn't seem to work even though we replaced the batteries . The backup windup torch was fine.

Beautiful house lovely location .

Unfortunately we had a problem with the boiler that left us with no heating and hot water . The assistant and help they tried over the weekend were superb and although not sorted they tried and we survived. Would definitely go back .

Lovely cottage with very good facilities with quality appliances.

Perfect location for relaxation and plenty of walking routes. Unfortunately there was no hot water on our last day, but who doesn’t enjoy a freezing cold shower in the morning. Would definitely book again.

Absolutely beautiful cottage - gorgeous interiors, spacious living areas, high end furnishings and appliances and the location in delightful Walberswick cannot be better with the village green on your doorstep and two great pubs, superb deli, beach, ferry crossing all only a short stroll away.

Sea Green Cottage is an extremely, stylish well thought out holiday cottage.

With a good quality kitchen into a light airy open plan sittings room / diner. The large terrace is a great solution to NO garden, with lovely views over the village Green. It suited us very well with a toddler. I would certainly like to stay at the cottage next year. Louise Pollock

Duvet much too hot.

Really needs a summer duvet as the bedrooms upstairs are very hot anyway. The shower head in the main bathroom badly needed descaling . We used the hand shower all week. However the property is in a lovely position and Walberswick is a wonderful spot. It was also nice and clean.

Had an amazing week at this property (mid April 2023) which was clean and spacious and beds were really comfortable.

The cottage is perfectly located on the village green, close to shops and tea rooms (more importantly, between two pubs, just a short walk away). Loved the roof top terrace, which we took full advantage of. Would fully recommend.

A very comfortable home which has just a couple issues addressing that have been noted in house keeping book.

We had a wonderful, relaxing week in Walberswick - interspersed with some, longer than intended, energetic walks along the beach and through the commons and forests surrounding the East Suffolk coast.

Take a good map. Sea Green Cottage was lovely; the big living, dining and kitchen room was ideal and the combination of radiators and log burner made it very comfortable. The whole house is light and airy, with the sun shining in across the village green into the living area. Quiet and peaceful for a late winter holiday beside the river estuary and sea shore, & 2 good pubs with restaurants within a stone's throw.

Having stayed in a lot of cottages some being half the price of this one We feel the property was overpriced for what you got.

The cottage lacked some cleanliness issues especially in the bedrooms and en suites. The soak aways hadn’t been cleaned so you paddled in water. This has been rectified as I did it myself. However location very good and a lovely village. From Glenda Saunders

Sea Green is amazing.

Everything you could hope for and more. Beautiful fresh flowers, chocs, wine and crisps on arrival. Beautiful decor and location. Weather rather inclement so not able to use the roof terrace as much as hoped - we will have to com back. Home from home but better towels! ;) Thank you xxx

We have had another wonderful weekend here at Sea Green Cottage.

We walked trek24 for EAAA on Sat 1st July and then was able to relax on the roof terrace with a glass of fizz! Great place to stay! xx
