Delicious scones and mince pies waiting in the kitchen too, thank you very much! Plenty of space, especially as there were just the two of us, and big, fluffy, sweet-smelling towels to use after the excellent shower/bath. The mattress was rather firm, but didn’t stop us from sleeping well. Far-ranging views over fields to the front and the back, and a large lawned garden to one side where we saw squirrels and pheasants, plus a woodpecker.
Note that the living room chairs showing in the photos have been replaced with two sofas (a two seater and a three seater), so there’s ample seating, and there is a smart tv on which we were able to watch Netflix :-)
All in all we were able to spend a very cosy and peaceful few days away from home, which was exactly what we were looking for.
