We had a delightful stay at Courtyard cottage.

It was a very comfortable home from home experience with everything we needed. A super comfy bed, great kitchen facilities, comfy sofa, beautiful shower and a perfect spot to explore the Suffolk coast from. Lovely helpful hosts.

Our accommodation at Courtyard Cottage was a totally relaxing experience with everything that would make our stay enjoyable.

The decor and facilities with the personal touches made it special. It was so nice to have the luxury of fitted wardrobe space to put all of the luggage and clothing away. The open plan kitchen and living room area was light and airy with comfortable settee with good lighting when reading in the evening. We enjoyed the quiet location which was convenient for a local community pub and nearby places to visit . Would certainly recommend a pleasant break at courtyard Cottage .

Both the Cottage and Courtyard were lovely.

Very well equipped, good Wifi and sky TV although we struggled with the latter not being used to it. Very quiet village but good touring location. The only improvement could be an updating of some of the furnishings, it had the shabby but not the Chic. Would recommend The White Horse Pub in nearby Rendham. Finally, avoid the earlier part of the week, lots of places have limited opening hours.

A lovely small cottage tucked away in a rural area.

Loved watching the swifts flying around and church bell practice one evening. The hosts are very kind and helpful and the cottage has all that you'd need for a comfortable stay. Parking was a little tight in front of the cottage, no space to turn round unless the owners were out but manageable; a larger car might have more issue. Only problem I had during my stay was that the toilet wouldn't flush without a bit of a workaround, Mike tried to fix when I arrived, hopefully fixed after I left from my 3 day stay.

One of the very best self-catering properties I have stayed in over many years of experience. Situated in a quiet rural setting but a perfect base for reaching the coast and for exploring inland this beautiful part of Suffolk.

Beautifully presented cottage with a really high quality interior.

Comfortable bed, with very spacious rooms. Not what you expect from a 1 bedroom cottage. The only thing that caught me out was not having a shaving style plug in the bathroom for our electric toothbrushes. A very minor point, which shows just how good a property it was. We found the property beautifully quiet and ideally placed for exploring Suffolk.

Saxmundham was a short drive with its two Supermarkets and Takeaways the Indian Restaurant superb. (we are on holiday after all!). The coastal resorts of Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, and Southwold, all were in easy reach for a day trip and well worth a visit. Local fresh produce markets were close by too . The local Pubs served a good range of food at reasonable prices if you prefer to dine out. The property was tastefully decorated and a joy to sit in, with all mod cons, and some traditional touches which blended in well with the property, there was everything you needed for a stay. We enjoyed sitting in the lovely secluded garden, enjoying listening to the birds singing, most evenings. The owners Mike and Glenys were welcoming and very friendly with places to visit and local information. We would certainly revisit in future and stay here again. Derek and Clare

The owners were very helpful.

Nothing was too much for them. Directions to the cottage were very good. The cottage had a lot of nice touches, including flowers, outdoor seating, paintings and interesting ceramics etc. It was well equipped and an excellent location to visiting historical attractions and the Suffolk coast. An interesting pub is within easy walking distance.

Comfortable bed, excellent shower room, kitchen OK.

Sitting area : settee not comfortable,could do with two comfortable chairs . Cosy room. Safe but awkward parking. Sykes description “ outskirts of Saxmundham” a bit of a stretch when the cottage is some distance the other side of the A12 .

Super cottage and Friendly owners.

The cottage was very well fitted out, clean and comfortable.

The owner, Mike, who lives close by was friendly and helpful. The location was quiet and excellent for exploring Suffolk and all it offers. All in all a most enjoyable stay that we'd recommend without reservation.

A lovely, well equipped cottage in a quiet location.

The owners had provided all the necessary facilities which afforded a very relaxing break. It felt like a home from home.

Glenys and Mike were most welcoming hosts, the welcome pack was tremendously helpful and provided some local products.

Glenys offered some great tips of places to visit. I loved the cottage, it was very comfortable and had everything you needed.plus was very clean. It typically represented a Suffolk cottage and the courtyard was charming. It is ideally placed for visiting lots of interesting places. I really enjoyed my stay and would love to visit again.

Courtyard Cottage was lovely, really well-equipped and comfortable, with everything we needed, and our hosts were welcoming and friendly (and provided a lovely breakfast welcome pack).

The cottage is situated in a small and peaceful village, from where it is easy to get to many beautiful places, including the coast. We found plenty to do over the fortnight we were there and look forward to returning another time. Thank you!

Would highly recommend this property it is Central to all the popular places for sightseeing and there are some great walks around and about.

An excellent base for visiting the Suffolk Coast (eg Aldeburgh and Orford) as well as other interesting nearby attractions such as Sutton Hoo and Framlingham Castle.

The property was easy to find in the centre of a small, quiet village. The single storey barn conversion, across a large courtyard from the owner's property, was very clean, has a modern bathroom and a well equipped kitchen. In the evening we enjoyed sitting in the courtyard garden area listening to the birds singing.

Small comfortable cottage in peaceful village.

Ideal location for walks. We enjoyed our New Year break and would return. Small points, that did not spoil our visit but could enhance an already excellent property, we found the heating difficult to control, there was no cupboard space for our own supplies and a washing machine would be good for a longer stay.

the welcome pack was very good, Mike and Glenys were perfect hosts. It was an ideal location for exploring Suffolk. We will return for a future stay.

The cottage was excellent as a base for visiting the coastal towns and villages, as well as a lovely place to come to at the end of the day.

The living room felt spacious and if there is a cold evening we’d recommend the wood burner for extra coziness, though the electric heating is very efficient. We like cooking and the cottage had one of the most well-equipped kitchens I have ever seen - we didn’t have to use any of the utensils we brought with us. We cooked every night so it was great to have the dishwasher. The decor was modern but comfortable with interesting antique and vintage pieces. I’d imagine the cottage would also be perfect for a family as the kids can be in their room at one end of the living room, giving the adults a bit of space at the other end. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the local milk, eggs, bread and butter provided. We met Glenys briefly who was friendly and welcoming. We would happily stay here again if we had another holiday in the area.

The facilities and equipment were the best , both in quality and comprehensive provision, we have had in a holiday cottage.

The bathroom especially was sparklingly clean and the large walk in shower was perfect for my limited mobility, as was the whole of this all ground floor accommodation. The generous welcome pack was a lovely surprise and set the tone for the genuinely friendly, approachable and always helpful attitude of the owners. A cosy, relaxing retreat in beautiful countryside, with everything we could want , and within easy reach of the coast and pretty Suffolk villages.

This was an amazing cottage.

Beautifully clean, cosy and had everything we needed. The owners were fabulous; so helpful and welcoming. We had a lovely week going to the coast every day, walking and driving on quiet country roads. We would love to stay here again and can't wait to come back. This cottage is a superb little private gem!

Good location to visit what Suffolk has to offer, perfect hosts who care for their guests. Peace and quiet for a relaxing stay. Kitchen has everything you need for a self catering break away, the level of kitchen equipment is over and beyond luxury - the batchroom is superb, walk in shower and all catered for - again over and beyond usual self catering breaks, The bedroom has everything required with good quality feather and down pillows and duvet. Living room/dining room has excellent comfortable facilities. We have never stayed anywhere in many years of self catering that the hosts have not thought of - even down to bread, butter, eggs and milk left for guests. The courtyard is completely private to use - cannot praise this excellent cottage enough. We shall definately be returning.

Milk and eggs in fridge + a loaf of bread were in the cottage when we arrived - very welcome.

Excellent property.

Very comfortable, well equipment kitchen. Lovely owners, easily approachable if needed, otherwise private and quiet. Good location for little villages, history, countryside with wildlife and close to Minsmere reserve, and lots of beaches to visit.
