“The Middle House is a very comfortable and stylish house, with ample space and a lovely, enclosed garden, located in the centre of Southwold yet on a very quiet side street.”
For those who are less mobile or who want an idle day, Southwold is on the doorstep with plenty of great pubs, some cute shops etc. For ramblers, walks or runs to Walberswick (easy), Blythburgh (a touch longer) and Dunwich (a good, intense walk) can be done from the house, and wider afield all the delights of Suffolk (Snape, Minsmere...) are a short drive away. The bootroom is great and has a separate entrance, excellent to hide the wellies and coats after those great walks.
There is no reserved parking however we were there 2 weeks in May and parking was never an issue - and free.
As others noted, a few details would make things perfect. In particular logs for the woodfire: for the price, one would expect those to be provided for. Also a few more wardrobes with coathangers would be handy. The house has been furnished in a fairly corporate rather than cosy style. The site correctly states that the bunks are for kids only.
We had a super time in the house and in Southwhold.
