Astondene, East Cliff

Our second time staying at Astondene.

Great house, great location. Comfy and well presented. Already planning our next stay.

We had a great time and the house was lovely.

The basement however, did smell of damp! And the bedding felt a little damp too. It was a little dusty in places light fittings et cetera although it didn’t diminish our enjoyment of our stay. Location was fantastic which I think made the holiday for us. We would certainly check out other premises that you offer in the future.

We loved our stay at Astondene and would definitely return.

Location was perfect and the house was spotless with everything we needed. It was so lovely to wake up and hear the waves! Our only gripe would be that there was a bit of a smell in the basement but the kids didn’t seem to mind.

Lovely stay.

Perfect location. Property has been done up to a high standard and was such a lovely base for us for our weekend away. Beds were comfy. Only downside is having one shower for 8 adults! But would still highly recommend for a few days and would definitely return.

Honestly such a beautiful stay, I’ve already looked to see if I can go back with my family this year.

Clean and welcome pack was lovely. Could do with an outside light, as very dark with minimal street lighting. Overall excellent and would definitely stay again.

Beautiful property, had everything you’d need and more!

The den was great, kids loved it down there. The proximity to the beach was amazing, could pop over whenever we liked. All in all couldn’t have asked for anything more!

There was a very strong smell of fresh paint for the first few days but that subsided after time.

The property was beautiful and decorated to a very high standard. The beds were comfortable and well positioned. I found the den slightly dark and very cold at night. The heating down there didn’t seem to work. Everything else was brilliant and the views were fantastic and so relaxing. Thank you.

The property is in an excellent location and perfect for adults or a family.

Astondene was one of the best houses we have ever stayed in, the decoration was/is amazing and the little touches were so thoughtful.

Especially the jellycats, they went down well. The location is unbeatable and what lovely views! Thank you for such a brilliant and memorable stay, we will be returning in the future!

Astondene is a fantastic place to stay.

The décor is well considered, the house is well stocked with quality everything and the location is perfect! Recommend loaded and jacks for simple eating out, Adventure golf (by the boaking lake/pier) and lots of time on the beach.

The cottage has given us everything we needed for a happy, easy and comfortable stay.

Wonderful hols at Astondene.

Our first visit here at Astondene was 40 years ago and here we are back with the grandkids.

Three generations in the house and it suited us perfectly.

The basement area where all the children slept with their parents was fabulous. The house is the best location we have ever had and we spent most days on the beach. The home is so we equipped and very comfortable. We will definitely be re-booking!

This is our third time at Astondene we loved it three years ago and have been back since.

Such a lovely house so much thought for making your stay lovely. Our grandchildren love the "Den" and sleep so well. The view is lovely so near to all amenities. Today weather is beautiful, been in the heatwave all week, could stay much longer, looking forward to our next trip back.

Children love the den. We all love Southwold, live within 45 mins but rarely stay overnight. A real treat.
