    “Lovely house , well located yards from beach (half way along the long beach) and two mins from town centre shops, bars & restaurants.”

    House has been nicely decorated and was warm and cosy on a cold, damp weekend. Well equipped and ideal for two or three couples or a family with children. Note the two bathrooms are on floor one and the stairs up to the top floor bedroom are steep. Parking was no problem but it was November!

The property

Albion House is a gorgeous mid-terraced holiday home in the heart of Southwold, complete with panoramic sea views from the second floor. Ground Floor You are welcomed in the spacious hallway, with living room to your left, kitchen/dining room in front, and carpeted stairs leading up to the first floor. Kitchen/Dining Room The heart of the home, this spectacular room is filled with natural light through the vaulted glass roof above the dining area, and double french doors opening into the courtyard garden. The stylish kitchen complete with brick flooring is every cooks dream, complete with AGA, integrated dishwasher, integrated 50/50 fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster and a washing machine and microwave housed in the pantry. There is a variety of seating in this room, with a solid wooden table complete with traditional pew bench with scatter cushions, and three separate wooden dining chairs. The courtyard garden is a tranquil space to sit and enjoy, complete with a table and chairs and charcoal BBQ - perfect for dining alfresco. The property does not have designated parking, however parking can be found on surrounding roads, on a 'first come, first served' basis.

About the location

SOUTHWOLD

Lowestoft 13.4 miles; Ipswich 35.1 miles

Southwold is a seaside town situated along the East Suffolk coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and resting between Lowestoft and Ipswich. Southwold is known as the home of Adnams Brewery which was established in the town in 1872 and it also has its own lighthouse, a museum and a picturesque pier which has a selection of colourful beach huts and which plays host to the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. The town boasts a number of excellent restaurants and eateries with a particular nod to its seaside location so there is always plenty of seafood and fish on the menu. Southwold has some fantastic independent shops, boutiques, galleries and pubs which are great for a browse and to stock up on essentials for your holiday. Just outside Southwold there are a number of great attractions for the whole family including Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich Museum as well as scenic towns such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Leiston and Lowestoft to visit.
