“This holiday cottage is absolutely lovely.”
It was well located, away from the madness of Southwold, with parking outside the door. It has been nicely decorated, well equipped and was very clean. Everything we needed was provided in the kitchen, and the location was very quiet. I stayed with a friend as we were unable to stay at my caravan in Dunwich due to the fires. For the two of us, it was perfect, but equally suitable for small families and friends. The beds were comfortable, and we had a bathroom each - one upstairs and one downstairs. It was a lovely relaxed few days, booked at the very last minute, and it was perfect for us. I was escaping builders at home and fires at Dunwich and it was perfect. My only concern to consider for others would be that the stairs are quite steep. I would definitely return but not with my elderly mother or anyone with compromised mobility. Southwold was a short drive or a 25 minute walk and it is always lovely but can be busy in the summer months. However, for cafes and pubs, it is a go-to destination. We have always enjoyed the cafe at the Maize Maze which was close by, as well as visiting nearby quieter places such as Walberswick. Covert Road is a perfect base to explore the Suffolk Coastline at any time of year, and deserves to be a successful holiday let for the owners.
