“Overall an excellent place to stay.”

Quiet and well-appointed, very clean and with easy access via a button press gate and keysafe, parking was found within a street or two. We really struggled, however, with the floorboards upstairs. They creaked very loudly on nearly all the boards on the landing, and to a lesser extent in the bedrooms. This meant we couldn’t help but disturb everyone when moving about upstairs. “We had a very pleasant stay, the property was clean and tidy, and super comfortable beds.”

Parking wasn't a problem while we were there. The house is in a nice quiet area of the town, but close to everything that we wanted. There were some minor maintenance issues that we reported while we were there. The blind in the second bedroom was broken, the mixer tap in the kitchen was very loose and wobbly, the shelf inside the fridge door was broken at one end, and the freezer door wouldn't stay shut, we had to wedge the bin against it. We also found the door handles very hard to turn, and noticed a few people had mentioned that. It was very warm the first few days we were there, and we couldn't open the downstairs windows to get some air in, so had to leave the front door open. We would definitely stay again

“Great property overall, close to the green & round corner from the high street.”

Initial problem with heating was sorted promptly on the day we reported it. Just one or two cobwebs in the main bathroom & elsewhere from spindly spiders that were in residence so cleaners need to just look up every now & then. Not all of us are keen on spiders. Also tap on kitchen sink still needs sorting out as the mixer doesn’t turn without moving the base. However otherwise we have stayed here 2 years in a row as it’s ideal & cosy. Love the welcome gift too.

“Excellent location in Southwold.”

Clean and comfortable accommodation with good facilities and comfortable beds. Parking nearby could be an issue in busier months. TV needs retuning couldn’t access main channels except BBC1.

Comfortable beds and bathrooms, good cooking facilities, and handy beach mats, chairs, and wind breaks provided. Make the most of the pubs, coast and walks in this lovely town. Well recommended!

“Information on a laundry service locally in case someone wanted to stay for more than a week as there is no washing machine.”

Cold tap in en-suite needs fixing. It will not turn on. Perhaps need also to look at bottom lock on door, as is difficult to get to lock. Could do with a little diagram of where the bins for no 1 are kept in the courtyard. It’s only obvious when you know. Maybe a couple of small pucks to help with location of the gate button sent in e mail either key code. Just a couple of things above, otherwise a great place to stay & location.

We were the people that reported the problem with the tap, toilet and leak on the kitchen sink They were repaired the day before we left I think that should have been noticed by the people preparing for the next people Also the gate clang very time someone enters the grounds this should be pointed out if taking a dog

“The accommodation was in a good location.”

It was clean and comfortable except for the heavy duvet which was not suitable for warm temperatures. Some of the doors were difficult to open, and some taps required a lot of strength to use. The accommodation was within a courtyard and the parking was in the street which was sometimes difficult.

We loved this house as soon as we walked through the door, it was spotlessly clean, everything you could need in the kitchen, comfortable sofa and chairs, the bedrooms were just lovely, beds were so comfortable with fresh clean bedding, house is situated in a nice quiet road just behind the high street minutes from all amenities, no problem parking, great open green space for the dog a 2 minute walk away definitely recommend

“We were impressed with the quality of the property, for example the well-equipped kitchen, fluffy towels and gorgeous bedding.”

It felt like a lot of thought had been put into making sure everyone has as good a stay as possible. The photos don't really do justice to some aspects of the property, like the spacious king size bedroom, high ceilings and elegant hallway. We also loved the access to the Common. This isn't mentioned in the property description, but provides a shorter route to the seafront. (Having said that, the location is incredibly central anyway, while also being quiet and tucked away.) My only criticism would be that I'd have appreciated a summer weight duvet. But the property worked brilliantly for the 3 of us and we'd happily stay again. For anyone thinking of booking, don't be put off by the lack of parking. We always managed to park virtually outside, despite visiting in the main school holiday period.

“The Mortise lock on the front door is quite difficult to open at times & took quite a bit of jiggling around for it to open.”

I think the light outside the front door needs a new bulb especially now it is dark in the evening, I had to use a torch to put the key into the lock to open the door.

Unfortunately the outside light is operated manually from inside the house; we will double check that the communal courtyard lights are operating properly since these should provide sufficient light to see the door on guests arrival. 1 Eversley Court is a truly beautiful modern mews house located in the heart of Southwold, just a short walk from the wonderful idyllic high street, sandy beach and open common. The property has been refurbished to offer a spacious holiday home for four guests. Spread across two floors, with a spacious kitchen/dining/living area and cloakroom on the ground floor, and two bedrooms, en-suite and family bathroom on the first floor. Eversley Court was formerly known as Eversley School until the late 1990's, where it was then converted into wonderful mews houses and apartments. The developers have ensured that period features such as the expansive windows and high ceilings have been retained. Ground Floor Entering into the spacious entrance hall with high vaulted ceilings. Hard flooring runs throughout the ground floor. Kitchen The kitchen is a beautiful light and spacious room with high vaulted ceilings, offering a modern kitchen with all of the mod-con's needed to cook up a storm. Within the kitchen is an electric double oven with four ring gas hob and extractor fan above, an under-counter fridge, under-counter freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, kettle and toaster. Dining/Sitting Room As part of a former school, this room retains the large windows allowing light to fill this spacious room with vaulted ceilings. The kitchen/dining/living area flow beautifully together and allow a space for the whole party to enjoy. A wooden dining table with four chairs sits within this room, with easy access to the kitchen area. There is a stylish two seater sofa and two arm chairs, positioned to create a social space to enjoy, with an array of nest tables, footstall and side lamp. There is a Smart TV, DAB Radio and a selection of books and games for guests to enjoy. Cloakroom Ideally located on the ground floor, with a WC and wash basin with mirror above. First floor Carpeted stairs lead up to the first floor landing area, with access to both bedrooms and family bathroom. Bedroom 1 A generous room with high ceilings, a wooden-framed double bed and bedside tables and side lamps. There is a double wardrobe and chest of drawers for your belongings. En-Suite Shower Room This expansive en-suite shower room features a corner shower cubical, wash basin with mirror above and WC. Bedroom 2 A sumptuous room to retreat to at the end of the day. This room has a wooden framed double bed with bedside tables and side lamps. There is a chest of drawers for your belongings. Family Bathroom Grab yourself a glass of wine and enjoy a long hot soak in the fabulous corner bath. This family bathroom also includes a corner shower, wash basin with mirror above and WC.

Southwold is a seaside town situated along the East Suffolk coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and resting between Lowestoft and Ipswich. Southwold is known as the home of Adnams Brewery which was established in the town in 1872 and it also has its own lighthouse, a museum and a picturesque pier which has a selection of colourful beach huts and which plays host to the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. The town boasts a number of excellent restaurants and eateries with a particular nod to its seaside location so there is always plenty of seafood and fish on the menu. Southwold has some fantastic independent shops, boutiques, galleries and pubs which are great for a browse and to stock up on essentials for your holiday.
