The Bothy at Snape Hall

The Bothy lived up to expectations for peace and quiet in a verdant location.

Parking good but a little way from the property. The bed was harder than we're used to and we would have liked to see mattress and pillow protectors used. Excellent shower and well equipped property.

Just spent a lovely week in the bothy in a lovely quiet area with safe parking, although the property is small and compact we had a lovely big garden that was very safe for our cocker spaniel to run around which she loved, the owners were very informative about the best places to see and to eat and very approachable if you needed anything.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable one week stay at the Bothy.

The setting is both tranquil and beautiful and it was a pleasure to sit on the patio in the sunshine listening to the birds sing. A perfect antidote to busy city life. The area around the Suffolk Coast is also both beautiful and interesting, and the Bothy provided easy access to excellent walks, interesting history (e.g. Sutton Hoo, Framlingham Castle) and brilliant music at Snape Maltings. The accommodation itself was clean, well maintained, well equipped and ideal for a couple. We would be very happy to return. ,

The Bothy is quiet, private and very relaxing.

Just what we needed to escape a very stressful time fully equipped perfect.

Matt and Aline were very welcoming and we felt that nothing would be too much trouble.

Matt loaned us a larger saucepan to accommodate our Christmas pudding. We were also given a bottle of wine to celebrate with. We had a very enjoyable week and would certainly consider returning.

A very comfy and cosy place to stay.

A couple of things, which didn’t detract from the stay but I wanted to mention. The bed squeaks ( I accept I am quite large!) and some salt, pepper and olive oil would be a nice touch as most places we stay have these. Unless I missed them?

I had been going through a rather stressful time but arriving at The Bothy soon had me relaxing.

The grounds with the beautiful trees and generous garden for my two little dogs just added to the peaceful setting. I also found lots of interesting places to visit within easy driving or walking distance. I would love to return in the future .

Nice cosy place for a few days,not far from the lovely suffolk coastal area.

Coastal walks museums ,good pubs ,fish and chips all a short drive away for good days out

We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the peaceful garden and surroundings.

Loki the greyhound really enjoyed the size of the enclosed garden and being able to wander around sniffing and exploring. Really nice base for local walks. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. A really very pleasant stay

Great garden for our dog.

Bed was very creaky, mattress was a little bit too soft for us.Facilities were adequate. The property looked a little dated and could do with a little bit of an upgrade.Overall good location for access to local beaches and tourist attractions.

The Bothy is everything that you would need for very quit and extremely pleasant week away in a lovely, clean and well equipped cottage.

It is centrally situated for trips out to all parts of Suffolk with Aldeborough being just down the road with its smart shops and cafes and a plethora of fresh fish outlets. 10 out of 10

Very clean with comfortable seating and bed.

Close to attractions in Suffolk. Our dog was treated like the star he is, by the local people and visitors. He had two safe lawned area we could access for him outside the cottage, Lovely enjoyable holiday the snowdrops were gorgeous..

Great accommodation and great position for cycling, walks and the coast. Would definitely stay there again in the future.

Lovely bothy with everything you need.

The garden is nice. Lots of huge trees on the driveway and plenty of greenery everywhere. Very relaxing. Comfortable bed and very cosy.

A Pleasant base for our visit to Suffolk.

Uneven pathway to gateway and broken slab on steps by gate. When we arrived the shower was broken when and the oven and fridge wasnt clean. Numerous cobwebs found and the whole property couldve been better. House keeping certainly needs attention. Nice sized garden for our dog,, however grass left very long in places so difficult to pick up after Blaze. The small patio area could be tidier. Nice to have a bottle of wine left for us, Nice quiet location.

Made to feel really welcome and special, location was ideal for our dogs with a large open grassed area that was secure.

The cottage was excellent for us with a super garden . The bed was so cosy & big white fluffy towels . A bottle of wine was a nice treat . The surrounding wooded area within the main property was beautiful . Very friendly & informative owners . A great location for all surrounding areas . Would definitely return .

The three steep steps along the path to the property where difficult for my wife to negotiate.

This was our second vacation at the Bothy and we loved it.

It is very well equipped and situated perfectly for all of Suffolk’s attractions.
