Lovely cottage which is very well equipped.

Really comfortable beds and nice clean, modern bathroom. Good long garden which is ideal if you have dogs. The cottage is really well placed with 2 supermarkets across the road and only 10 minute walk to Aldeburgh.

Very comfortable cottage which was really clean.

No problem with on street parking at all while we were there. About 10 minutes walk from the beach and town, so ideal, and a Co-op and Tesco just across the road. A beautiful area with some fantastic places to eat, especially if you like fish and seafood.

We had a really lovely stay at this accommodation.

The property itself was clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. The kitchen was amazing – spacious and stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals easily. There was always plenty of hot water, and the WiFi connection was strong and reliable throughout our stay, which made things very convenient. Parking was straightforward and easily accessible, which took the stress out of arriving and coming and going. The setting itself was peaceful, and the home felt welcoming from the moment we walked in. One small point to note is that there is a public byway running through the back garden. It didn’t cause us any problems, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re looking for complete privacy in the outdoor space. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily recommend this accommodation for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

A beautifully kept property, very clean and welcoming.

We had no problem parking, always managed to get a space. An easy walk to the beach where there were plenty of places to eat. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is a great cottage that is of a high standard.

We were able to park outside all of the time we were there and it’s a lovely stroll into the main town. The summer house at the end of the garden is a real bonus too. The cottage is spacious and felt like home from home. There was no toilet roll when we arrived so not sure if the housekeeper forgot to leave a roll but luckily there is a co op and Tesco almost across the road. The bottle of wine that was left was greatly appreciated! Would definitely stay here again :)

Lovely holiday home .

A lot of thought , love and care has clearly gone into this .Standard of cleanliness was very high . The garden is a bonus as well as use of the summer house if you wish and the outdoor garden furniture. Parking outside the house was not an issue for us . Easy access on foot to Aldeburgh town centre , easy access to the “dogs allowed “ part of the shingle beach (ten minute walk) . Plenty of space on the beach . We made good use of the local shops , delicatessen , butchers, bakery , fish huts along the front for beautiful fish . We slept well , had a lovely relaxing holiday .

We had a lovely 4 day break, the property is lovely, tastefully furnished and cosy.

Nice walk to the seafront and shops. Lovely, very well kept long garden, the dogs loved us throwing their ball and them being able to run the length of garden. Plenty of outside furniture and a summerhouse at the bottom of the garden. Just one small negative, was that the bathroom was downstairs and the other end of the propert, so any nightime visits were a slight nuisance, but certainly did not spoil the stay. I would urge anyone to stay.

Second consecutive stay.

Absolutely lovely cottage. I am guessing it has been refurbished in the last couple of years as it immaculate. Great location very close to two supermarkets and short stroll into town.

We found the property was very clean as other write ups said it wasnt.

Loved the general decor, well equipped and quality of things eg m&s crockery etc… fabulous large sociable kitchen. Very comfortable beds lovely shower and bath (altho didnt use). On main road so very convenient and close to co op - but didnt seem noisy. Great park for dogs 2 min walk and alley to town 10 mins so conveniently situated. Only negative small freezer compartment within a standard size fridge - wasnt ideal for Christmas but didn’t stop us thoroughly enjoying this property and would recommend.

Love to stay in this area and the house was well equiped but some areas of cleanliness was a little disappointing.

Having said that it was an enjoyable week and grea to have a real fire.

Fam on oven very noisy, which made it horrible to sit in kitchen after a meal.

Grill in main oven did not work. The property was not very well cleaned, some areas worse than others. Location of property was fantastic. Very well equipped, everything you need for a stay. No upstairs loo was a small issue for my husband, we did not think this was not very clear in ad.

The cottage was really nice but not suitable for everyone, including my husband and I.

We missed the part of the description where it said about the downstairs bathroom, and found this to be quite a big problem. I am 75 and severely visually impaired, to negotiate from the bedroom, down the stairs and across the large kitchen to the toilet, in the middle of the night, was quite challenging. The same for my husband. The lounge was ok but very dark, even with the light on, making it difficult to see to read etc, the bed was huge and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of tableware and cutlery and the little, gift-wrapped parcel of dish cloths, sponge, bin bags and dishwasher and washing machine tablets was a lovely touch, even though we didn't use either of them, as was the bottle of wine that was left for us, which we did use. All-in-all, lovely place but shame about the downstairs bathroom.

We enjoyed our stay but hadn't realised that there was no upstairs toilet, so it wasn't ideal for my 89 year old father.

The water wasn't hot enough to bath in, albeit the shower was excellent.

2nd time we've stayed - lovely cottage, great location - but cleaning was a little sparce this year.

. dirty towels left in bathroom (& clean ones at least!) and bedding hadn't been changed in one of the bedrooms. We had to strip and wash it after we realised..

Lovely place to stay and perfect if you have little ones, well prepped with baby gear, huge garden, well equipped kitchen and shops less than a minute walk.

Had an all round wonderful time.

The inside of the house is really lovely.

The listing did not suggest it was located on a main road which it is so we couldn’t have our windows open at night and it was really warm when we stayed. Main problem is the garden. Appreciate that the listing said there is a right of way but for our stay there we’re constantly people using it. The gates are left open so the property is not dog friendly. There is no privacy with the low wall and the neighbour walking around using his workshop, we felt like we couldn’t sit in the garden at all. Not ideal and definitely not a private, dog safe garden.

Lovely little terraced cottage 10-15 minutes walk from Aldeburgh High Street and sea front.

Cosy lounge with 2 sofas and smart TV (which we had to retune to all channels for some reason?), large kitchen/dining area, downstairs bathroom with bath and shower and leaned garden with patio outside. 2 bedrooms upstairs with comfy beds. Tesco and Coop handy as just across road, and pub, The Railway Inn, few minutes walk away (doesn't serve food at present though). Visited lots of places, all within decent driving distance, including Framlingham and Orford castles, Sutton Hoo, Landguard fort, Woodbridge, Thorpeness and Southwold. Only thing we would say, is for dog owners to keep an eye on your pet when in garden as open access for neighbours via gates, and these are not always left in closed position when others use them. And small upstairs room would make a nice upstairs WC. Otherwise an excellent stay and highly recommended.

We had a lovely week in Aldeburgh, cottage was beautifully clean and well located.

Lots of great places to eat and drink. Looking forward to visiting again. For those with dogs and small children then just look out for the gates in the back garden which can be sometimes left open as part of the shared access.

What a lovely cottage, extremely clean and comfortable and very well equipped (and warm, heating was very efficient).

Both the Co-op and Tescos are literally across the road and we enjoyed a fabulous breakfast again across the road at the Auld Cafe. A very relaxing week. Our little border terrier 'Harry' thoroughly enjoyed himself.

The cottage was lovely and very welcoming.

It was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you would need on holiday. We will definitely return.

When we arrived all was good so we both went out to the garden without our two dogs just to check that the garden area was secure .

we found that the two gates on either side of the garden were open so we shut them then let the dogs out . all was good for the next couple of days . we did see that the bin for the rubbish had been removed but the gates were then closed . on our last night we came in at about 4.30 pm let the dogs out and I then picked up the black bag to put out and then I found that there was both gates wide open and one of our dogs was missing . my self and me wife then started to shout out for our dog and could not see her anywhere . at the end of the houses to the right there was an alleyway to the main road so we both went down the alleyway to the front of the house which is on a main road . I went to the right and my wife went to the left and while my wife was looking she saw our dog at the edge of the road so she shouted for her to stay and she did so my wife was able to get her and bring our dog back . both of the neighbours knew that we had dogs as they had seen them so why they left the door open . my wife was in bits all night thinking what could of happened . we put our comments in their book at the property stating that we would never come back to stay at this property . if they can’t guarantee that the gates are closed the they should have another gate put up at the end of the patio where there is a wall in place and then this could be locked and you could let your dogs out into this safe area before they go into the main garden. I do believe that all dog owners and parents with small children should be aware of this problem .

Our second time this year at Somewhere only we know, we visited in may then again in September, we had an enjoyable stay both time’s, it’s so handy for everything, the cottage is comfortable & the garden is great for the dog’s, we did have a problem this time with the shower, the hot water was scolding & we couldn’t turn it down, we reported it & unfortunately it needed a new part so we managed with bath’s, other than that we had a great time visiting Thorpeness Orford & Southwold, we will return,

We stayed for a weekend just before most schools break up.

Getting the key was smooth and trouble free.We found it clean, comfortable and very nicely decorated. The kitchen is stylish and equipped with everything you would need for your stay. The bathroom (which is on the ground floor) is modern and has both a bath and a very good shower. There’s a long, narrow and rather featureless garden with patio and lawn. The location is very practical if not particularly picturesque. It’s just a ten minute stroll to the seafront. We had no problem parking right outside the property while we coming and going. For shopping there is a Co-op very close by. I was going to list some criticisms but then they were so trivial I thought they looked a bit silly so I deleted most of them. Elderly or very young guests might find the stairs a bit steep. It might make sense to have the Wi-Fi password on a sign in the kitchen rather than slightly buried in the property information file.

Our first time in Somewhereonlyweknow, we enjoyed our stay very much, we loved the garden for our little shih-ztu & our collie, king’s field was so handy for walk’s, & the local pub the railway Inn we had a lovely Sunday roast dinner, the cottage has everything you need & is comfortable, I want to book again for September,

The cottage is located just a 10 minute walk to the sea front. We enjoyed a very peaceful week in the cottage and would consider returning if staying in Aldeburgh again.
