“Brilliant! So, so peaceful.”

Fantastic accomodation, superb site, Lisa and Steve are a credit to themselves and the business, very welcoming, helpful and a pleasure to chat to. Having private aircraft landing and taking off on the private airfield is a bonus - not disturbing at all. Wildlife loved the peace and quiet too, we saw deer, hares, rabbits, partridge, birds of prey and numerous other bird species. Will be back!

“Our stay in Monewden was exactly what the doctor ordered!”

Mum and daughter decided fairly last minute to have a few days away to relax, after both going through quite stressful periods. The hosts were so welcoming when we arrived and the pod was lovely. It had everything we needed, offering that camping-feel, close to nature, while offering some extra comforts that made our stay a little easier than camping can sometimes be. We took it in turns to sleep in the mezzanine bed and the sofa bed - both were comfortable and we slept very well. We could also comfortably cater for ourselves using the electric hob and/or microwave. It was a great base to explore the surrounding countryside, going for lovely walks, and to grab a drink/meal in one of the many nearby pubs, but it was also a great place to sit and watch the world go by. We found it very exciting watching the odd small plane come in and take off, but the peace and quiet the rest of the time was just incredible, dare I say healing! There are two other A-frames on the site but they were all so thoughtfully spaced apart that there was no risk of the privacy and peace of each being disturbed. We enjoyed watching the buzzards play on the thermals. We spotted a green woodpecker and heard an owl. The owners made sure we had everything we needed and were so kind - we would really like to come back in the future. The place is a gem.
