Our 21 month old grandson enjoyed all the toys left - thank you for those. We also appreciated the spacious rooms and the small garden was handy for a game of football. However, we thought the house was let down by a number of issues. The cleanliness was generally acceptable except for the laminate floors, which were filthy, as evidenced by the state of our grandson’s socks after just 20 minutes. Even the bathroom floors hadn’t been washed - surely a priority between guests? Also, there were so many things that we gradually discovered were missing:- no appliance manuals (to help set the oven clock, without which the oven wouldn’t work), no oven gloves, no pegs ( we bought some and left them there), no non- slip mat for the bath ( a pre- requisite for a holiday let, I would have thought). The shower cubicle frame was coming apart at the corner junction, the stair gate wouldn’t fit at the top of the stairs and, at the bottom, it had to be one step up. We didn’t use it, judging it to be too hazardous. None of the doors would stay open ( rubber wedges?) , the bedrooms lack storage space and the lighting, even in the kitchen, was poor. We enjoyed our week there but we wouldn’t stay again or recommend it to friends.
