    “I arrived at 3pm on Saturday and left at 3.”

    20pm! The property smells. Floors had not been cleaned. Paint flaking off damp walls. The stench from the kitchen sink was revolting. Orange limescale all over both shower heads. Bedsheets not changed (just turned inside out) with disgusting stains and dirt and hairs inside the crumpled mess. Damp carpet, black mouldy walls, curtains and windows. There was absolutely no way that my dog and I were staying in this health hazard. If I could add photos to this review I would. My much needed holiday ...

    Thank you. This feedback is totally unexpected and is being investigated by our cleaning company's supervisor as a matter of priority. The cleaning company's supervisor has now reported back following a requested investigation that the cottage's cleanliness was and I quote: "at the exceptional level". This correlates with all the recent feedback from our other - often repeat and happy guests. All the bedding is changed on a weekly basis. They did identify some damp areas on an external wall (this is January) and the cottage is now scheduled for a deep clean and maintenance in the last week of January. This guest neither contacted me as the owner or as far as I understand it, the cleaning company, and no message was left - had that been the case a resolution would have been found as per all the previous feedback regarding our care and attention. Posting this feedback without prior discussion is unnecessary, unworthy, potentially damaging and unwelcome. But thank you. Property Owner

PAKEFIELD

Lowestoft 1 mile; Beccles 8 miles; Southwold 10 miles.

Located on the Suffolk coast, Pakefield is a suburb of Lowestoft, however it was historically a village in its own right and is home to the parish church of All Saints and St Margarets. Pakefield has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants as well as a real fish and chip shop, and is home to The Seagull Theatre, as well as an art gallery. Nearby Lowestoft is a traditional seaside resort with a wide range of amenities including the Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park, whilst south of Pakefield is the coastal town of Southwold, famous for its pier, busy harbour and the colourful beach huts which line the seafront. Pakefield is a good touring base for all of East Anglia including the Norfolk Broads and the cathedral city of Norwich.
