“Firstly, the sign needs attention.”
It is not clear at all. It needs to be bigger, illuminated and clear; OR at least Meadow View mentioned as an indication of where it is. The barn was adequate and allowed us to explore parts of Suffolk and Norfolk. Just needs redecorating, cleaning of the cobwebs; bit of updating with some TLC. The design of the steps from kitchen to living room is a bit dangerous. Kitchen table doesn't fit the room. The bathroom needs to be updated, with a proper shower and screen and the bath is too high.
Didn't realise it was an annex and so you do feel a bit overlooked, resulting in the enclosed shingle area not actually feeling like it's a garden.
And the ROAD. Understand this cannot be helped, however for a B road, it is one extremely fast moving, noisy road. You need to cross the road to get into Homersfield, where it is beautiful and quiet as there is no where immediate, to walk the dog. If you walk to the end of the lane, you have the grass verges along the main road and from here you cross over into Homersfield, Even though we were out all day, you still need somewhere to walk the dog, first thing in the morning and at night.
Maybe would have been better if there had been a grass area, rather than a shingle courtyard.
Saying all that, the barn provided shelter and warmth, the cost was reasonable for a week and we had beautiful weather which helped no end.
