Lovely little cottage.

A little difficult to find but that may have been my Sat Nab. Lovely location. Perfect for 1 dog. Bed very comfortable, like home from home. We will return.

Fig Cottage is a lovely, quiet place to stay, this was our third visit, clean, spacious, and everything you need is there.

Handy for Wickham Market just 5 mins up the road for the shops. We took our 95 year old Dad and suitable for him as all on one level and his bathroom very spacious. All in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. One very minor thing, could benefit from better pillows but that is all. Thankyou

What a find!

Very clean & comfortable accommodation, ideal for two couples with plenty of room. It had everything we needed and is ideally located for exploring the Suffolk area. A real bonus was having two pubs in easy walking distance, they’re very different but equally friendly. We ate at the George in Wickham which was excellent. We also had a great breakfast at Cafe 46. Highly recommended, I’m sure we’ll be back.

This is a superb cottage in a lovely location.

Everything is first class, and we rebooked . for next year during our stay !!! Three minor suggestions. During the summer months a very light duvet would be welcome and the provision of a powerful fan would make for more comfort Also a garden umbrella would be great. The cold bottle of wine was much appreciated The cottage is truly a credit to the owner.

Our 2nd stay at this comfortable cottage - very clean, spacious and well equipped.

We find it nicely placed for travelling to various walks and visits.

Fig Cottage is very clean, well equipped and ideally located for a peaceful, relaxing break.

It is not far from shops and facilities and there are many attractions within easy travelling range, as well as being good for walks nearby. Pets are welcome and the garden is secure but be mindful that rabbits do visit it (fortunately we saw them before our sighthound did and it wasn’t a problem). Would recommend for an enjoyable, comfortable stay in a lovely county.

Our second stay at Fig Cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Everything is here for your convenience and beds are comfortable. We appreciated the tea , coffee and wine welcome pack but would have appreciated a pint of milk in place of the wine. The sofas are comfortable. Perhaps an updated picture on Sykes website of the sofas as two armchairs and one sofa are shown, which does not do the room justice. The Greyhound Inn is within walking distance serving fabulous food, if a little pricey, but totally worth it

Fig Cottage was actually my childhood home and whilst it is very different to when I lived there, it has been very sympathetically renovated and is beautiful and comfortable.

From the moment we stepped through the door it felt homely and welcoming.

This property is well maintained, very clean and has everything you could possibly need. Set in the grounds of the owners home, with your own fenced garden and parking, very private and extremely quiet. We met the owner, who again was so very welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed. It’s definitely a hidden treasure and I would happily recommend this beautiful property to everyone

Fig Cottage provided for our every need and we must compliment the owner on her delightful furnishings. We really cannot fault the accommodation in any way and would certainly recommend it to others.

The surroundings are lovely and it is very well placed to visit the local area, both coast and countryside.

Excellent cafe (3 Tuns) just round the corner - good coffee, pastries and snacks. Look forward to returning sometime in the future.

Great cottage.

We are a family of 2 adults, 1 child and 1 dog and the cottage worked really well for us. The cottage is well equipped, bedrooms good size both with ensuite, living area good size and a separate utility with a third toilet. Garden area is small but enclosed so safe for the dog and was very pleasant to sit outside. Did hear during the day sometimes the dogs in the kennels when sitting outside, but background noise and not a disturbance for us. Didn't hear them when inside the cottage and did not hear them at night. The cottage is quite secluded so peaceful overall. Some things to note: there is a smoke detector practically above the cooker so we triggered it when grilling bacon - so if cooking something smokey, best to open windows! There isn't a huge amount of storage space for food if coming with a big shop, would potentially need to make use of the utility area. Equally there isn't a huge amount of kitchen work surface. The walk-in shower doesn't drain the best but just don't have it on full power, the pressure is decent enough anyway. You are not allowed to leave dogs alone in the property or allow them in bedrooms/on furniture. Not related to the cottage but also to note we went to the Greyhound Inn which is a couple of hundred metres away but it doesn't cater for children (no kids menu and it's expensive). It is dog friendly. Overall, great cottage and we would definitely stay here again if we come back this way.

This is a lovely cottage, nicely tucked away and an ideal base for exploring Suffolk.

The garden is enclosed which was great as we had our dog with us. The cottage was immaculate and the kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. Would highly recommend fig cottage.

The property was perfect and had everything you could need.

It was in a lovely quiet location with a good pub within walking distance and close to some lovely market towns and the coast. I would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Lovely little cottage in attractive Suffolk village.

Very high standards of cleanliness and nice lighting and decor. Three of us (all oldies!) were very comfortable staying here.

Well maintained and everything you need. Would love to visit again. Excellent position for visiting the area. Not much doggie barking either. It’s secluded and away from the lane…a ‘hidden gem’!!

Lovely week at Fig Cottage.

Cottage exceeded our expectations. Very tastefully decorated, cosy, clean and well equipped. In a great position for visiting Suffolk’s interesting historical and cultural places. Plenty of great pubs nearby for good food and drink. Would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the area.

Well maintained and a pleasure to stay in, will definitely be recommending to work colleagues!

We shall not hesitate to come back next year!!

Lovely cottage.

No complaints whatsoever

Very nice, cosy cottage, with everything you need for a week’s holiday.

Many dog friendly walks in the vicinity.

The blinds in the bedrooms do not appear to be working correctly.

They do not open up fully.

I only marked down accuracy of the listing because we hesitated to book because we couldn’t see any curtains.

So it might be worth mentioning the blinds. Also there is a photo of the old garden chairs which would have been inaccessible to me, so it would be good to update the picture of the garden chairs. My TripAdvisor review says ‘This property is perfect. It is set among trees, not overlooked, you see wildlife in the garden. The cottage is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. It is cool in summer when you shut the blinds to keep out the sun. The beds are large and so, so comfortable. Each room is en-suite. A nightlight is provided, lighting around the bathroom mirror and a long mirror in one bedroom. I was worried that the shower might be slippery but it didn’t seem too bad. There are also baths. Easy chairs and dining chairs are comfortable with plenty of plugs for computer etc. The garden is planted with lavender and pansies. There is a picnic table type bench on the lawn and on the patio there are new wooden garden chairs with a cushion pad (sic) set around a table. I enjoyed sitting outside sketching. Using a satnav the property is very easy to find. Despite a dog kennels not far away, we heard no dog noise (what a charge from living in a small town where every garden seems to have a dog.) Peace, perfect peace. The communication with the owner by text was very good.

Absolutely lovely place to stay- probably the best holiday cottage we’ve ever stayed in, surrounded by an area of beautiful countryside.

The attention to detail and all of the facilities in the cottage were outstanding. Unfortunately, the directions to get there weren’t to great, but we’re extremely grateful to (presumably) the owner who stayed on the phone for about 15 minutes to ‘talk us in.’ Thank you! This was our 4th stay at Fig Cottage .

The outside garden chairs are to say the least dirty and the shape is unusable for oldies and need changing . The sink in the on suite with the free standing shower needs attention as it doesn’t drain well. The top shelf above the sink needs a good clean as it was very sticky and is being ignored . Generally we note the cracks in paint and plaster which are now appearing need attention .A bit of TLC wouldn’t go amiss to a lovely cottage that we have thoroughly enjoyed over the years .

An extremely comfortable and well appointed cottage in beautiful surroundings.

The standard of cleanliness and comfort is one of the best we have seen. We will definitely come again next time we are in Suffolk.

This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location with easy access to lots of places of interest.

The living area is spacious and comfortably furnished; the kitchen fully equipped with everything we needed and more. The bedrooms are spacious with excellent beds, both rooms have en suite bath/shower rooms. We spent every day exploring the area which had so much to offer. We hope to be able to return in the not too distant future.

Finally a cottage which has thought of everything.

Stylish, comfortable, well equipped, excellent beds and bathrooms, can't fault a single thing. Well done.

Fig Cottage was a great find: perfect location for us to go exploring, couldn't fault the house, beautiful decor & accessories, warm & an enclosed garden just right for our spaniel - who ideally would have loved to escape & chase pheasants!

Excellent cottage, very private, perfect for dog loving families.

Spotlessly clean and well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay and as the coast is not far away we had good walks on the local beaches with our Cocker. The Coop is really close for all those food items you may need and the bigger shops are only a few minutes drive away. :Lovely village, friendly people, we will be back when we can. One small note for the owners, the drain to the walk in shower is not flowing well, just a note, not a criticism. Everything else just perfect.

The property was lovely, great location and very well appointed.

This was our fifth time in Suffolk but this was the best location - easy distance to the coast as well as other towns.

A lovely property in a pleasant location with lots to see and do.

The surrounding villages are very pretty and the coast is close and easy to get to with many pretty resorts. The area has lovely houses and places of interest, could have managed another week easily.

Fig Cottage is a very well-appointed property in a lovely part of Suffolk, but as ever there are points which would improve the experience of staying there.

The left-hand bedroom has little storage space for clothes, etc. for two people. A chest of drawers is required. The bathroom attached to this bedroom is large and could do with a stool to put a towel on while using the bath or shower. Neither bedroom has a chair. The instruction booklet for the dishwasher appears to be for a different appliance! There is no full-length mirror in the property. Lastly, a small point - a couple of egg-cups would be a good addition to the crockery. Having said all this, Fig Cottage is a lovely place to stay.

This was our second stay at Fig Cottage this year and it didn't disappoint.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage - wonderful location, fabulous facilities, beautifully decorated and furnished.

I’ve stopped in a lot of holiday cottages / houses over the years all around the UK and none have ever been as comfortable as Fig Cottage.

Beautiful cottage which we have visited before so we already knew what it was like ‘in the flesh’ so to speak.

Once again we weren’t disappointed- I’m sure we’ll be back!

This became our home for six weeks!

We can't speak highly enough of our host Lisa, she made us so welcome making sure we had everything we needed - including a small Christmas tree! The cottage is very comfortable, clean & welcoming. We will remember our time here with fondness. Thank you!

March 1968, my parents moved into this cottage and stayed here till 1998.

They raised 3 children and had many happy years here. We bought mum + dad back for mums 80th birthday and they were flabbergasted to be back. The cottage has been beautifully renovated but has kept some things from our past. Thank you for our wonderful stay - it rekindled so many happy memories.

Fig Cottage has to be the best cottage we have stayed at- and we have stayed at dozens over the years.

It is very clean, well-maintained & very well provided (wonderful beds & towels) in a lovely setting - in fact true home from home & most importantly, it is 'dog-friendly'! We have truly loved our time here, enjoying the peace & quiet & plan to return. We loved our visits to Sutton Hoo, Snape Maltings, Aldeburgh, Woodbridge, 'Walkies' dog exercise field & excellent meals - The Coach and Horses at Woodbridge. Thanks, also, for the bottle of wine - much appreciated.

Enjoyed our stay enormously and it was lovely to meet the owner.
