“Upon arrival at the property, the front of the house does not have great kerb appeal.”

However, your opinion quickly changes to WOW when you turn the key & walk into the house. It is just beautiful, tastefully furnished & decorated with a patio & view second to none. The extension has been done to a very high spec. We were also blessed with fabulous hot weather during our stay. One of the best properties we have ever stayed in. We would love to come back as it’s a great base for some beautiful coastal places, Southwold, Walberswick, Alderburgh to name a few. Darsham is a ...

We would love to come back as it’s a great base for some beautiful coastal places, Southwold, Walberswick, Alderburgh to name a few. Darsham is a village of dark skies so the stars are a joy to see. A great base for Dunwich Heath too but because of the fires the week before, a lot of those roads were closed. However, a week wasn’t long enough. “Fantastic bungalow, very comfortable with lovely views across fields.”

Lots of places to visit including coast, RSPB Minsmere, Two Magpies Bakery, Southwold etc Enjoyed watching birds and deer from terrace. Very peaceful and plan to book again.

“From the front the bungalow looks absolutely nothing outstanding to look at but once you step through the door …it’s wow this is great!”

The decor is tasteful done and flows through out the rooms. There are three medium sized bedrooms, each with a comfy double bed with individual styles. One bedroom looks onto the open field at the back and has a door that opens onto the patio this bedroom also has an ensuite which is the only bedroom that has. Unfortunately, there is no wardrobe or cupboard in this room just a hanging rail. The other two bedrooms do have traditional cupboards to hang your clothes. The main bathroom has a has a very nice bath and toilet, also a good size walk-in shower with a large fixed ceiling shower head.. there is also a separate toilet in the hallway cloakroom. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and plates, etc. there is also a Nespresso coffee machine.The kitchen, dining room and sitting room are all open planned with a wood-burning stove in the middle of the room. Which we didn’t use because of the season. There is an array of light switches that are dimmable however we never quite managed to get to grips with these couldn’t seem to find or remember which switch controlled which light so a good amount of trial and error was needed!.

“Fairview was by far the best accommodation we have stayed in.”

It was clean, modern and stylish with good quality furnishing and fittings not always the case in holiday lets. It was extremely well equipped and comfortable and was well suited to two groups of friends, which we were. We loved the bi-fold doors onto the garden and spent many an evening sitting on the patio admiring the view and watching the wildlife. If we ever decide to return to Suffolk we would have no hesitation in booking Fairview again. Susan

“We really enjoyed our time at the cottage and watching the wild life skittering across the back field.”

However, it would have helped if there had been a brush we could use to sweep up crumbs from the kitchen. The uncut grass in the back garden also garnered a remark or two. Otherwise the cottage was well decorated, fully equipped and well placed for exploring this part of the Suffolk coastline.

We're disappointed to hear that you felt that Fairview fell short but just to let you know that you'd have found a brush and vacuum cleaner in the utility cupboard (in the middle bedroom). We were sorry not too be able to mow the grass for you on the day you arrived, the gardener couldn't mow due to the rain. We're pleased however that you enjoyed your suffolk holiday at Fairview. “A really beautifully decorated bungalow with fantastic views over the surrounding Suffolk countryside.”

With 3 double bedrooms, 3 toilets and a large sitting and dining area there was lots of space for 6 adults. And the ktichen was stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook with! It was an ideal location to explore the Suffolk coast, the marshes and Dunwich forest to name but a few areas nearby. There is a fabulous pub within walking distance that serves delicious food (you do need to book though) and a Budgens a short drive away for essentials. We don't often say this as we love exploring different areas of the country but we would definitely go back! Highly recommended

“Watching the wildlife while having breakfast was wonderful!”

We even had a deer chilling in the garden one day. The Fox Inn was excellent. Jimmy's Farm definitely worth a visit. Southwold, walk down to the harbour for fish & chips at Sole Bay xx

“Thoroughly enjoyed our Easter weekend at Fairview.”

The house is a real home from home, beautifully presented, warm, clean and very quiet. Beds are super comfy, showers worked great. Walking distance to the pub where we had a lovely meal, and easy driving access to our favourite places on the Suffolk coast. The view from the back of the property is stunning, with rabbits, pheasants and even a deer passing through. The garden is lovely, full of birds, would be great to sit out in the summer. Wish we could have stayed longer to make full use. Highly recommended, would stay again.

Fairview is a beautifully renovated single-storey bungalow in Darsham, Suffolk, perfect for families and friends seeking a quiet village retreat. This pet-friendly property combines comfort with character, featuring a woodburning stove, freestanding bath, spacious garden and sweeping views to the rear. On arrival make use of the off road parking before stepping up the short entrance steps into a welcoming hallway with limestone floor and inviting décor. Continue into the vibrant living space which combines the kitchen area, dining and sitting. Fold back the bi-fold doors in fine weather to merge the living and outdoor spaces and enjoy meals on the terrace. The skylight above the dining table floods the area with natural light and as evening falls, light the woodburning stone and settle in for a film on the large smart TV or gather outside to cook on the fire bowl beneath the stars. Three thoughtfully designed bedrooms promise restful nights, each with Feather and Black mattresses: A double and king bedroom offer serene spaces and the third boasts an en-suite with French doors for access to the terrace for breakfasting alfresco.
