The perfect seaside, holiday cottage.

Great location in a lovely town!

Nicely situated cottage and we enjoyed Aldeburgh very much.

However, the promised car parking space was never available, so I don’t think it should be referenced in the description. We had an issue with the electrics which was resolved after reporting it, but it should have been picked up before we arrived. Both toilets also had difficulty flushing. And finally, the property did not have a corkscrew

This was our third January short break at Aldeburgh Cottage and it is warm and cosy for this time of year.

There are both shops (including restaurants) and walks in the country and by the sea without having to use the car, although we’ve visited Thorpeness ( on the bus) and Framlingham ( by car). Possibly worth pointing out that the stairs require a certain amount of agility and the bathroom for the twin bedded room is downstairs and beyond the kitchen ( quite a long way at night!). But a charming, well equipped cottage in an excellent location.

The cottage was a great size for the two of us and our cockapoo. Cozy and comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen (although we didn’t cook!) Great central location with shops, pubs, restaurants all very close by.

A lovely little bijou cottage with all the facilities of the High Street on your doorstep together with some wonderful walks along the beach and estuary.

The accommodation was comfortable, well equipped and an ideal base for some quality rest and relaxation and exploring the local area.

We had everything we needed for a very happy & relaxing holiday. The Welcome Pack & toiletries were especially nice. Perfectly situated for walking to the beach, the local shops & places to eat. One of our favourite places to be, we will definitely return. Thank you.

We loved the cottage, certainly for two of us it was very comfortable, beautifully furnished and a very generous welcome basket.

I'm not sure how comfortable it would be with 4 adults but of course in good weather one would be out at the beach anyway,

Cottage is very comfortable, well equipped and in a good quiet location.

It is always clean and well maintained. I have returned several times because I love staying there. My only criticism is that the compact sitting room feels a bit overcrowded by the large furniture. The sofa and armchair are too big for the space.

Lovely quiet cottage for a winter weekend break for 4.

A very comfortable and warm ( particularly important in January!

) cottage with lots of little “touches” that make it charming. It is in an ideal position with the added bonus of being able to park the car.

The cottage was just as described and very cosy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay In Aldeburgh Cottage.

It is small, but very well equipped and in a perfect position to enjoy all that the village has to offer. The only comment that we would make is that the water in the en suite shower runs away very slowly, and that the coffee machine in the kitchen leaks quite badly. Apart from those two minor things the cottage was lovely.

A perfectly charming cosy little cottage with everything one required for the week.

Ideal for two with a dog. Useful parking space too at rear of property. Only one small niggle, we found the mattress on the double bed slightly hard & unforgiving however single bed in 2nd bedroom perfectly comfortable. Great location for sightseeing and dog walks. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you.

Cottage just as described very cosy great position on the high street

We loved our stay at Aldeburgh cottage it was full of period character and charm and with modern & quality furnishings.

The cottage and outside courtyard felt roomy and gave everyone space to relax. The beds were comfortable with soft linens and we slept well. Also only a few minutes walk away from the beach and pubs and restaurants but still a quiet location. Would definitely recommend this holiday let.

We had a terrific stay at Aldeburgh cottage.

The location is great, the cottage is well kept and comfortable, and having a courtyard garden makes a huge difference when in the finer weather as we could eat outside. The beach is only a minute’s walk away and all of the shops the same. Well definitely be back.

Really lovely cottage and was spoilt with an ensuite which you wouldn't normally get in an old cottage.

Decoraticed nicely and clean, could of done with a wipe out in the cutlery draw and some of the glasses were a bit unclean. Nice welcome pack on arrival. The only drawback for us would be how busy the actual road is from about 5.30am with cars driving extremely fast and huge lorries going up and down the small high street past the cottage.

The cottage was in a brilliant location, a minutes walk from the beach.It was beutifully decorated and provided us with very clean and comfortable acccommodation.It was great having two bathrooms too. We would love to stay again and would reccomend to friends and family.

The cottage is very comfortable, well placed at the quieter end of the town, and very close to the sea.

At the time I stayed, the work on the neighbouring building made it impossible to park as planned in the rear lane. It meant taking a chance to find nearby street parking.

This is a lovely little cottage, and even with 4 adults, it was cosy and warm and has great quirky bits.

Love the outside utility room, warm and excellent for drying wet clothes, and the shoe room under the stairs is good. Kitchen small but even so, ideal for cards and games on a winters night. Excellent location. Minor points; couldn't work out the toaster, and the light switch in the lounge felt as if it might not work soon!! Downstairs loo, the flush is so powerful it sometimes shoots water over the side.

This is a lovely cosy cottage in an ideal situation near the sea and the High Street.

We had a wonderful week. The cottage was very comfortable and well maintained. The kitchen and downstairs bathroom and sitting room were brilliant. The upstairs shower was not brilliant as on full power it threatened to overflow but apart from this all good. Aldeburgh is a great place to be- beautiful walks, lovely pubs and cafes nearby and lots to do.

Adleburgh Cottage.

5 stars for us. A short 4 night break with the dogs. Aldeburgh Cottage was perfect for two adults. Kitchen well equipped, brilliant oven and dishwasher. Nice that they left clean Tea Towels, and scouring pad and dishcloths. Owner has taken care of this little cottage, downstairs bathroom v nice. Living room v cozy. Little Smart tv fine, v comfy settee. Upstairs master bedroom, rustic and nice, the ensuite is great, the shower was different to what we are used too, but it was fine, got you clean. Take a shower cap if you don’t want wet hair. The twin room not used by us but looked ok for small kids. The stairs are steep but expected for this type of cottage, if you are tall be prepared to duck in a few places. Brilliantly located at end of lovely high street, lots of shops, restaurants and nice pubs. Two mins from lovely beach stroll, dogs not allowed on town part of beach between May - Sept 30th but ok by the scallop sculpture check the signs. Lovely walk to Thorpness about 3 miles. Parking is tight at the rear of the cottage and appears to be on first come basis or a shuffle around between cottages. Plenty of side street parking. Would love to book for xmas time, or another short break in Aldeburgh. Highly recommended

Dirty floors.

TV without terrestrial channels, presumably too tight to pay for a TV licence. Terrible bed, like a rock. Taps bizarrely turn the opposite way to every other tap I have ever used. Key safe so old and clunky to use.

Lovely cottage.

Great location. Very useful back yard/garden and outside utility storage building. Well cared for and maintained throughout. We even had a visit from the gardener for the front of the property, while we were there. Only let down by a lot of dog hairs on the sofa. We stripped it down and gave it a mega hoover. Rest of the house was okay. We did not have a dog with us so this was from previous visitors. Aldeburgh Cottage is a lovely place to stay.

A very cute cottage which is well setup and located for a fun holiday in Aldeburgh.

We enjoyed our stay at Aldeburgh Cottage, but on our arrival the following points needed attention: 1 The television didn’t work.

Was showing ‘no signal’. Took 2 visits by Jacob to sort it out. 2: The string of lights over the kitchen sink didn’t work. 3: The bedside lamp in the twin bedroom kept flickering. The lower oven didn’t come up to temperature and the bulb had died. Also: 4: The window in the double bedroom doesn’t open- it has been painted shut. I note that another guest has also noted this. Please rectify this as the room was very stuffy in hot weather. 5: There were only 4 forks: need a few mor 6: There were only 3 drinking tumblers (for a cottage for 4 people?) 7: The gutter above the kitchen door was blocked with detritus. 8:There was a cracked pane in the kitchen window(Jacob made a note of this). 9: The little cap on the cold water tap in the en suite kept coming off. 10: The cottage was very clean but there was a huge cobweb in the downstairs bathroom!

The cottage is very comfortable and perfectly located in a quieter part of town, with easy access to the beach.

It’s well maintained, very clean and pretty well equipped. I would certainly recommend it to friends, with the proviso that the stairs might prove difficult to anyone with mobility problems.

The property needs some attention, particularly the en-suite where I would question the need for a hygienic floor covering particularly around the loo.

Cleaning of 'corners' also could be better. Very few windows open and main bedroom is painted closed. However, all said we enjoyed our stay and the property is ideal for a family with 2 small children.

Beautiful cottage .

Perfectly situated. Very clean . But a little attention needed here and there Parking behind the cottage wasn’t really possible as cars wouldn’t be able to pass either way and we didn’t want to block anyone in . We had a lovely stay at aldeburgh cottage . We will be back again
