Grange Barn

Beautiful accommodation throughout.

Place has real character, particularly the bedroom. Kingsize bed which was so comfortable with freestanding bath, as an added luxury. Owners very approachable. Close to local pub ( 5 minute drive from accommodation) and local woodland/ nature reserve for lovely walks with the dog. Highly recommend and we have booked again for next year. We only returned yesterday from our holiday from Grange Barn and look forward to our next adventures. Close to Bury St. Edmunds which is certainly worth a visit and Lavenham was a beautiful location and definitely worth a visit. Would advise avoid Sudbury very disappointing.

Grange barn was a great choice for our break in Suffolk the location was perfect for the place's we wanted to visit.

The barn was spotless and finished to a very high standard really comfortable super king bed the kitchen was well equipped everything needed for self catering holiday. Nice outdoor area to sit and very secure for our dog to go outside and a bonus was the woods to walk the dog just up the road would highly recommend a stay at this property. Would definitely go back.

The accommodation itself was ideal, well equipped, clean and comfortable.

Two umbrellas were even provided, and sadly we needed them! However, Grange Barn is a little isolated and although instructions were given more would have been useful.

This is a beautiful spot just tucked out the way of bury, The barn was such a nice place to be and very quiet.

I would definitely recommend this to friends visiting the area.

Walks from the door & well marked footpaths, together with a secure garden area made it a super rural getaway with our dog.

Amazing property and the WiFi is brilliant.

The house is so comfortable, clean and warm. The shower is super powerful and amazing and the bed is comfortable and warm so much so we bought the same bed linen. The owners are lovely and friendly along with there dog who would say hello. The village is peaceful and has lovely walks for your dog. Would highly recommend and will definitely return

The property was very well equipped, extremely comfortable and user friendly, as a guest one could not wish for more.

The area very pleasant and relaxing, great walking and cycling( not too many hills and little traffic on the country lanes). The Six Bells for food definitely worth at least one visit we did more and you can easily walk to it. At the top end of properties we have used from Sykes for a holiday break.

The cottage is very well appointed, with excellent kitchen facilities and bike storage shed; the comfortable bed deserves a special mention. The cottage location is ideal with a great pub within 15 mins walk and numerous walks and bike rides from the door. Thanks for a great stay.

This is a beautiful little property, with everything necessary for comfort, we really cannot fault it.

A very minor quibble, it would have been useful to instructions for the hob and more for the oven for us Range users! But we would certainly use it again if we were in the area.

We absolutely loved staying here.

Very clean and perfectly temperatured. Lovely owners greeted us and made us feel welcome. Our dog was also greeted by friends. Lovely idyllic Area

I was disappointed prior to arrival that Sykes did not inform me that the key would be in the door.

I had been told the owners would be there to meet me. I spent nearly w hours the day before trying to ascertain if it was going to be ok to active at 7pm- 8pm. Sykes now have a system that does not facilitate a conversation, unless there is am urgent problem if you are already at your rental. I tried the text "conversation" however I was told I would receive a telephone call ( nothing after 4 hrs ) Tried again - no answer to my question. Cottage was lovely.

We really enjoyed our week at Grange Barn.

It’s set in a lovely quiet, rural location. However, it’s a great base for exploring beautiful Suffolk. The bed is huge and extremely comfortable. The barn is spacious and with underfloor heating lovely and warm.

We loved our stay at Grange Barn.

Had everything we needed, a comfortable super king sized bed and a short walk to the local pub and shop. Unfortunately for us we only had 2 days here of our 5 nights as I was taken unwell. But would love to visit again in the future.

Super for the dog with the enclosed outside space & multiple options for walks nearby. Owners onsite who were welcoming & helpful. Short walk to local shop & pub. Just ideal for us & planning a return already.

Beautiful barn!

! Fully equipped with what you need for your stay. Clean and airy. Owner is lovely as met us on our day of arrival. Lovely walks all near by. Great location if you want to travel by car to visit further afield. Local pub was welcoming with great selection of food if you don’t fancy cooking.. definitely returning.

It did take a little bit of finding but the local people gave us directions.

The accommodation was lovely with modern amenities giving us everything we needed for our stay. Very dog friendly with an enclosed garden. Wonderful dog walks a very short distance from the property. The whole place was very clean and the welcome pack with a Victoria sponge was the ‘icing’ on the cake. Would highly recommend

Converted old barn with all we needed for a short break. Bath did spring a leak but didn’t hinder our stay, very modern and tastefully decorated throughout.

The Barn had everything we needed and it was lovely to come back at the end of the day. The village has plenty of walks, a friendly local pub and lots of places to visit within a short drive. Would definitely recommend.

A very comfortable property.

I particularly enjoyed the patio's easy access from the lounge/kitchen for my 6-month old pooch. Lots of space and attractive design. The nearby wood / nature reserve was also a godsend. Would definitely re-book.

Not enough information regarding local doctor dentist and vet Nearest Suppmarket place of interest etc Clearer instructions for waste And a visitors book But really nice place clean and comfortable

Extremely high standard accommodation which was very well appointed and spotlessly clean.

We were grateful of the cake and milk on arrival - a very nice gesture.

We felt 'at home' from the minute we arrived. The owners were friendly and approachable. The property was well located for certainly our needs and would be central for most people.

The Grange Barn is a lovely little place well located for big long walks and visiting local areas around Bury St Edmunds.

The place was immaculate and the hosts friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet break away.

Really nice few days away in a beautiful bijou property.

The Barn had all the amenities you could want - and bedroom was absolutely fabulous. Only criticism is that it would have been valuable to have had more guidance on which bins to use regarding rubbish and recycling.

Nice old period property in a very quiet location

Lovely quiet location which was ideal for us travelling around Suffolk.

Plenty of footpaths and woods on the doorstep for long walks with the dog. Accommodation well maintained and comfortable. Although the property is an annex the owners are anything but intrusive but on hand should the need arise (which it didn’t in the two weeks we were there). We would definitely recommend Grange Barn.

Had a fabulous weekend away at Grange Barn which provided everything we needed for a relaxed weekend away.

The hosts were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. In terms of the bedroom, I would echo previous reviews in that the photos do not do the room justice. The private patio/gravelled area to the rear provided for a personal outdoor space, escpecially handy for the dog in the warm weather.

A super place to stay , looks all new.

Great parking , and loads of room. Great super king bed , and the shower was fabulous. Underfloor heating was nice to wake up to as well. Sky tv was in the lounge area , but we tended to crash out up stairs as they had a tv up there as well. Didn’t do,any cooking , as there were several decent pubs around , dogs were around in as well. All in all , we enjoyed our stay , and would certainly book again.

A lovely property - very spacious and comfortable.

Nice peaceful location with ample easy parking next to the property.

Plenty of places to visit but a car is essential. Really good to see rescue animals in the paddock along with the owner's cats. The barn is clean and fresh with tasteful modern decor.

Yes You did not tell us that the local pub was closed and was only reopening as we left.

There was no dish washer or washing machine which we would have expected. The kitchen was lacking the following: no Milk jug we managed with measuring jug, no Casserole dish- we bought one, no garlic press, wooden spoon or spatula, as we were now doing more cooking these would have been helpful. The table for dining at was on the small size and no fruit bowl Disappointed that Sykes had not sorted all this out before we went on holiday.

Quiet, exceptionally clean, very comfortable, bright and light barn conversion in a beautiful village setting on the edge of Felsham, Suffolk.

Perfect for a couple enjoying the tranquility of the countryside. Beautifully restored, beautifully decorated, furnished to a high standard and best of all, a very comfortable superking (or twin) bed. Our hosts were very lovely and were on hand if needed. There were horses, goats and chickens too in the paddock. Superb accommodation which I would most definitely visit again and highly recommend.

Grange Barn is a real gem.

It was far better in real life than the pictures. They really don’t do it justice & now there are additional comfy garden chairs & lovely dining room chairs too. The most comfortable bed we’ve slept in a holiday let. Decor is very tasteful & modern. Shower is amazing too. Julie left us a lovely cake & pint of milk. We will definitely stay here again!!

Lovely accommodation, very high spec.

Good for doggies as it is all enclosed at the back, small courtyard and bbq area, nice comfy garden chairs. Fabulous upstairs, great bedroom and good shower, really nicely done. Only negative is the same as the other review, the dining table and chairs really let it down, only really suitable for breakfast, there is plenty of room for a bigger, comfier one. We ate in a lot at night as the weather was pretty unkind and we had our dog and use a dining table a lot. On a plus side the oven was very efficient and the downstairs loo an added bonus!

This pretty barn conversion is in a very tranquil and lovely spot.

The super king bed was very comfortable. For the cost and otherwise super modern style of this accommodation we were a little disappointed in the size of the tiny table and very small hard chairs, and a coffee maker or caffetiere would have been welcome, as would a pint of milk in the fridge.

We had a lovely week at Grange Barn.

Peter and Julie made sure that we had everything we needed. The barn is immaculate and in my view the photos don’t do it justice. It has been restored to a high standard throughout with oak doors, floors and beautiful beams. The barn is well equipped with everything you need. The courtyard garden is very peaceful and is a real sun trap which we used at breakfast, mid afternoon and for a barbecue one evening. The bed was large and very comfortable and the bath in the bedroom whilst watching television was great. As we were on holiday with our dog we planned lots of walks - highlights were Thetford Forest, Southwold and some circular walks downloaded from the Suffolk council website which were well described with an ordnance survey extract. Thank you for letting us stay in your barn. Hopefully we will return soon.

Colin and I had an amazing weekend staying at this beautiful converted barn, situated in the most stunning setting the barn offered everything we needed.

. a very lovely comfy bed, a superb bath to relax in too and a cute courtyard garden where we had a bbq and we were able to sit outside and have our breakfast too and chill.. The owners were very friendly and helpful .. we would definitely recommend and definitely be coming back..

Great base.

Julie and Peter left us a cake on arrival which was very thoughtful. The property was well finished, extremely clean and comfortable, especially the bed for a really good nights sleep. Had a wonderful break but shame about the .good old British weather!!

The local village was very friendly and the local pub was amazing! Highly recommend this stay to anyone! We will defo be going back!

Lovely converted barn, high quality fittings.

Nice to have a free standing bath, as well as a shower room. Small, private garden with comfortable chairs and a barbecue. Very quiet and peaceful. Local walks, and pretty Suffolk villages to visit. Days out to the towns and beaches of Southwold and Aldeburgh, and a number of National Trust properties to visit within Suffolk and Norfolk.

The property was really comfortable and decorated well - we had a lovely long bank holiday weekend in the sunshine.

There were great walks locally for our dog as it is all fields and no livestock and we would have ventured out more if the temperature had been cooler. Peter and Julie were very friendly and we appreciated the food items left in the house for us - although living next door they were very unintrusive when we are at the house. It is a lovely setting and you can't help but relax there!

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, it was our first holiday with our Cockerpoo puppy.

She was extremely well behaved. The property was was of very high spec and had ample parking. We would highly recommend this property.

One thing....NOT related to Grange Barn.............. I am staggered at the amount of e.mails I have received from you since booking Grange Barn. I appreciated you are Sales motivated but you were really getting on my nerves.. When I book another cottage you will need to curb that activity !

Situated in a quiet rural location made a very welcomed by the owners pete & julie the welcome pack was much appreciated extremely impressed by the interior everything was coordinate to a very high standard bed was very big and very comfortable slept really well six bells pub down the road great food
