Description

Wickham Market 2.9 miles.

Duke Cottage welcomes you into a characterful Victorian retreat nestled within the grounds of Easton Farm Park, just a short drive from the Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape.

With off-road parking, complimentary access to the farm park, and space for two well-behaved dogs, it’s an ideal base for families or friends seeking a countryside escape near Wickham Market.

Inside, the tiled kitchen is well-equipped for everything from morning coffee to evening feasts, with wall art adding warmth and charm.

The adjoining dining room, with its wooden table and chairs, sets the scene for shared meals and lively conversation.

The sitting room features wooden flooring, two leather sofas, and carefully chosen pictures that reflect the cottage’s inviting character—perfect for unwinding after a day of discovery.

Three carpeted bedrooms offer restful spaces: two king-size rooms for peaceful nights, and a family room with twin beds and two pull-out beds beneath exposed beams, ideal for younger guests or larger groups.

A family bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC serves the sleeping quarters, while two cloakrooms on the ground floor provide added convenience.

Step outside into the shared garden, where the barbecue crackles and the furniture invites you to relax.

Lovely cottage with plenty of space for 5 of us .

Only downsides are stairs a bit tricky if you have a mobility problem and our mattress wasn’t very comfortable . Would recommend staying there and the price was amazing including entry to the farm park. Nice pub only a couple of minutes away with excellent food .

We had a WONDERFUL time staying at Duke Cottage.

It is a really lovely old victorian building with many original features which were exciting to discover. Beds were comfortable and it was a lovely touch to find milk and bread when we arrived. The co-op in nearby Wickham Market was good for all groceries with lots of parking and we also went to the fish and chip shop there one evening and that was delicious. Being on the farm was really lovely. After the park closed to the public we enjoyed walking round and seeing the animals and had bought bags of food from the site shop so we could feed the sheep and goats. The location is idyllic with a river winding through the fields and views over open farmland. Ideal for nature lovers. Thank you for a truly amazing stay. We highly recommend you to anyone who would like to stay!

A lovely warm cottage greeted us after driving through "Storm Claudia".

!! It was well equipped for all our needs. To be able to walk around the Park and meet all the animals was a bonus.
