“Many thanks to the owners!”

We had a wonderful time and settled in almost immediately. Our little Jack Russell had the time of her life watching the world go by from the decking. The house was perfectly placed, to allow us to explore Suffolk and head north into Norfolk. The house provided a comfortable base for us in a quiet location. There were lots of other houses but it remained a quiet and peaceful place. There was enough space for us all and I must mention the shower, it was amazingly powerful! The house was clean ...

The house was perfectly placed, to allow us to explore Suffolk and head north into Norfolk. The house provided a comfortable base for us in a quiet location. There were lots of other houses but it remained a quiet and peaceful place. There was enough space for us all and I must mention the shower, it was amazingly powerful! The house was clean and the kitchen had a good range of utensils for visitors to use. All in all, a great property that we would happily stay in again.

“This place needs a complete overhaul - it’s cold, tired, the fridge stinks, the washing machine stinks and you can’t read the settings as it’s all worn off.”

You don’t get a airer to dry the clothes on, and there is a washing line with one peg!! The owners are so slow at responding and quite honestly, I wouldn’t bother with this place at all - rubbish

“Property was good for what we needed, a short stay with the grandchildren.”

Swimming pool was great but there were a number of issues. Mismatch of crockery etc not enough forks for the number of beds! Set of rusty pans not usable but also there was another set. Cleanliness not great, toilet dirty behind seat and under beds etc very dusty. Travel cot just shoved in wardrobe making access to rail and safe difficult. Description mentions access to beach, crazy golf, play area. There is no beach! (Or access), play equipment limited and some broken and crazy golf was overgrown and not usable.

“98 Waterside was the perfect size and price for our family of 5 to have a beach getaway to jump-start our summer.”

And because of the great facilities the unreliable English weather didn’t dampen our spirits. We enjoyed the indoor swimming pool (free with stay) as soon as we arrived! Then we went for fish and chips (from PJs in Gorleston) on Gorleston beach. We walked to Corton Beach on Saturday morning and I think we could have walked all the way to Gorleston Beach but the kids bailed on the idea. When the rain came we headed back to the pool; it was warm, clean and they loaned us pool noodles (also free!). We cooked pasta on the – impressively responsive – electric hob that night and watched a movie (free Netflix!). We were delighted to discover a bar/restaurant on site - perfect for full English breakfast on Sunday morning! They also had some fun activities going on there. We visited Lowestoft Beach on Sunday and it was lovely too. Would definitely recommend a stay here! (Though bring a spare loo roll – we got through what was supplied)

“While the property was clean and served its purpose for our stay, several small but important details were overlooked that impacted our experience.”

We arrived to find no washing up liquid, bathroom soap, oven gloves, or toilet paper - basic essentials that guests shouldn't need to source immediately upon arrival. The cleaning standards were good, though there were noticeable limescale marks on the shower and other surfaces that detracted from the overall presentation. The walls are quite thin and we could hear the neighbours at points during our stay. We visited during the week when it was relatively quiet, but I imagine this could become quite problematic during school holidays when occupancy is higher. These may seem like minor issues, but it's the thoughtful touches and attention to detail that distinguish a good holiday rental from an bad one. With some investment in ensuring all basic amenities are provided this could be a much more welcoming place to stay.

“Lovely mini break with the grandchildren.”

They enjoyed the space to run around & swimming especially. The site was nice & peaceful. The place was clean and well equipped, although found it a tad strange not a roll of toilet paper was supplied! Nice to have a balcony & terrace. The terrace got lots of use due the sunny weather. Balcony had some old wet wipes on the floor, which wasn't nice. The biggest annoyance was the constantly dripping bathroom sink taps...even how hard you turned them off. The information mentions about the steps down to beach which we never found...and not sure if the beach was safe. But there are nice sandy beaches near by. Overall we really enjoyed our time there & would book it again!

“We had a fantastic three nights here.”

The facilities were great. The is location superb for young family and dog. The villa was well kitted out and comfortable. The hotel on site was an ideal spot for food and evening entertainment. We were very pleased with this short break and wished we could have stayed longer! We would definitely return and would strongly recommend to others. Many thanks.

This house has a balcony looking onto the village from the double bedroom, as well as boasting a communal indoor heated swimming pool and private access to the beach, ideal for a family looking for some seaside fun on a getaway. Walk into your intimate living space where you can all spend plenty of time together. Three armchairs are available unless you fancy a spot on the sofa instead. The Smart TV is available for binge-watching your favourite series, and it has a DVD player if you’re craving a long movie night. Go for a dip in the swimming pool or have a round of crazy golf to see who the best in the family is.
