Twosome

We loved our time at Twosome.

The accommodation was exactly what we expected with the character and comfort we were looking for. The property hosts were friendly and kind. We loved the fact that we would listen to the Tawny owl at night, it was perfect.

This cottage was something else.

....An absolute haven in a beautiful, tranquil setting. It was a joy to watch the sunsets and the deer in the field at the back following on from our adventures during the day. Our first time visiting Suffolk and we explored so much of the coastline and countryside due to the perfect location. Thankyou so much for the perfect stay!!! Darren, Lisa and Bryn the collie.

The cottage was lovely It was clean and comfortable in a beautiful location the grounds were extensive and just right to walk our little dog .

There was also plenty of lovely villages around to explore and country pubs to eat and drink most of them dog friendly.

Lovely rural setting, with acres to roam freely.

Convenient for exploring nearby sites and coast. As a suggestion - enclosing the lovely little cottage garden (perhaps with simple low fencing or netting) would be a real bonus for some dog owners.

Wonderful little barn with everything necessary for comfort inside and outside in the garden.

My second visit & I might well stay there again.

We stayed at Twosome in Jan 2025, it was very pretty and just like the photos on the website.

The owner greeted us when we arrived and had made sure the cottage was nicely warmed for us when we arrived. He was friendly and very informative about places to go in the area. Lovely bottle of fresh apple juice and jug of milk was left out for us which we thought was a nice touch. The central heating is very good so no need for us to use the wood burner.However just a couple of things to be aware of ..as the property is dog friendly we had a very muddy dog most days after walking around the adjoining fields so by the 3rd day we had several wet muddy towels draped everywhere. We thought it might have been beneficial to replace the dishwasher what we didnt think was necessary with a washing machine. Plus a mop and bucket would have been handy to clean the floors as they are painted white.Cushions on sofa and arm chair could do with a freshen up but other than that a beautiful little country retreat.

The property is located in a quiet countryside setting with easy access to walks, cycling and transport links to other areas of Suffolk.

David, the host was very welcoming, available if required and also very informative about the area. The property was clean and well equipped, the fresh flowers, Apple juice and milk were a nice touch. We do however feel the property would benefit from a little TLC, looking a bit tired in areas. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning in the future

Very tranquil place to stay, private, quiet, lovely garden and view.

Very clean and comfortable. Well situated, short drives to coastal locations. Would stay again.

Situated in beautiful surroundings, orchard right on doorstep. Accommodation ideal and very well appointed. Such a lovely walking area, and the owner David had provided us with illustrated maps, with walks directly from the cottage, making use of footpaths, bridle paths and tracks. All easily read. Venue 20 minutes from the sea. Would certainly return.

A wonderful stay, nothing too much trouble, a great part of the country to experience and an excellent retreat to base yourself.

It was delightful, and a very convenient centre for exploring.

On arrival a very warm welcome from David the cottage was home from home very clean a comfortable bed lovely setting so peaceful and quiet would definitely recommend and would like to return at a later date A lovely welcome gift was the farm pear juice

Spent the week in Chediston and looking forward to returning.

Not far away from Southwold and a real treat for nature lovers. The house and grounds are beautiful and the let is well equipped with lots of cooking Utensils so you can make this home for a week. Note for people with dogs, the garden isn’t fenced so you will need to keep your dog under control. Would recommend.

Perfect country retreat.

40 acres to walk in direct from the door and convenient for the coast. Cottage is cosy and quaint with subtle modern facilities. A.definite 10

No need for dishwasher , the cupboard space would have been very useful as , hardly any storage for food we bought with us .

Pillows on bed not very good , something I feel is important so you get a good nights sleep , one loo roll to last a week ! Good job we bought more with us , we enjoyed our stay and the apple juice went down well . Mop for the kitchen floor would have been useful . We wore slippers but white floor !

I absolutely love Twosome!

So comfy, so peaceful & lovely grounds, very relaxing. My satnav took me along many peaceful & pretty lanes such a joy after busy Essex!

Had an enjoyable week, Cottage very comfortable & lovely garden.

A very enjoyable week in a very cute cottage in a very quiet setting well worth the long journey from Aberystwyth.

First time here, so lovely and relaxing.

Plenty of walks for us and the dog. A nice get away from it all. Walks from the door exceptional into the fields. A steamer would be a good edition to your well equipped kitchen. Many thanks.

Suffolk has so much to offer. We have been to the lovely coastal towns and inland on our adventures. The cottage is perfect and the rural location has been a great get away. Ben has loved the fields and the gorgeous garden. We have been so lucky with the weather and been able to sit outside with a morning coffee and a glass of wine in the evening. Thank you so much x

Our first time to the Suffolk coast and it didn't disappoint.

We had a great time exploring the local area. Stocking up on some fresh sea air and of course eating all the local seafood (Grant also tried nearly all that Adnams had to offer). The cottage is the perfect home from home with all this on its doorstep. The beautiful garden & nearby fields were very much appreciated especially on the sunny days. We have really loved our stay here & would love to come back some day. Thank you David & Fiona for having us x
