    “Absolutely wonderful, paradise on a plate.”

    The cottage was beautiful - lovely gifts, warm, comfortable, cosy - just perfect. The walking was literally outside the front door, a fabulous environment. David was a charming host and nothing was too much trouble for him, his advice, support, attention to detail and always on hand if we needed him. He had a good knowledge of walks and outstanding areas to visit. We would certainly go back again and again - amongst our top 5 favourite cottages and destinations.

The property

The Nook is part of a 19th century barn which has been converted into three fantastic holiday rentals. Positioned within four acres of beautiful grounds surrounding three holiday lets and the owners' 16th century Suffolk farmhouse. The Nook has been tastefully renovated to create the ultimate couples retreat, with impressive old beams retained within the vaulted ceiling, giving a reminder of the buildings past. The property is set on a single level, with a spacious open-plan kitchen/sitting/dining area, sumptuous bedroom and bathroom. The area is just waiting to be explored, with footpaths and bridleways to explore directly from the property, with quiet lanes taking you to the villages of Chediston and Wissett. In the historic market town of Halesworth you will find a variety of independent shops, pubs and restaurants. For those looking to explore the Suffolk coastline, Southwold and Walberswick are just a 25 minute drive away. Ground Floor The front door leads into the spacious open plan living area. Kitchen/Sitting/Dining Room In this vaulted ceiling open plan living space the sitting area has a generous corner sofa and a contemporary red chair with a 27 inch Samsung flat screen TV in the corner, the original wood beams give the space a grand feel, complete with wood-burning stove. There a dining area with a dining table seating two and a fully equipped newly-fitted kitchen stretching along the length of one wall, complete with granite worksurfaces. The kitchen has a Belfast sink, an integrated Neff electric hob and oven, an integrated fridge and small freezer, a washing machine, integrated dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave, kettle and toaster. Bedroom The bedroom has a vaulted ceiling with a double bed, two bedside tables with matching lamps, a chest of drawers and a two-door wardrobe. Bathroom En-suite to the bedroom, this room has a bath with a shower above, hand basin and a W.C. Outside There is off-road parking on the shared drive-way. The property sits within 4 acres with an array of benches for guests to enjoy their morning coffee, in addition there are 40 acres of local accessible farmland for long walks.

The delightful Suffolk market town of Halesworth is full of character, with old buildings, a weekly market held on a Wednesday and a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants, which are predominantly independent.
