Description
The private entrance opens into a small lobby with space to leave your coats and boots before climbing the stairs to the spacious first-floor landing with a well-equipped kitchen and airy living room overlooking a big courtyard. The master bedroom, with en-suite shower room, has a king size bed at the front whilst the twin is at the back next to the beautiful bathroom.
Space is in abundance here as Saffron is part of a Grade II listed conversion of a former hospital known as Blythview, sitting in 12 acres of private grounds with use of a communal indoor heated pool, mini fitness suite.
Ground Floor There’s a private entrance hall, with space for coats and footwear, close to the allocated parking. Carpeted stairs rise to the first floor.
First Floor Landing Light and airy, this landing gives a great welcome with window offering views over the front aspect, stairs to the second floor and access to the living/dining room, cloakroom and kitchen.
Kitchen Being on the first floor makes this a particularly bright kitchen that has been well equipped and has views to the front. Fitted appliances include concealed dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and freezer, plus an electric oven and gas hob with extractor hood over.
Living/Dining Room This sunny room with high ceilings and exposed timber beams has double doors off the landing and overlooks a large courtyard. It’s been tastefully furnished with two comfy sofas (not as shown currently on the photos), occasional tables with TV and DVD player in one area for relaxing, with a table and four chairs for meals.
Cloakroom With WC and hand basin.
Second Floor Carpeted stairs rise from the first to second-floor landings.
Master Bedroom This elegant bedroom has a king-size bed, bedside drawers, a dressing table with mirror, a large built-in wardrobe and has lovely views to the front.
En-Suite A modern en-suite with shower cubicle, hand basin, WC and heated ladder towel rail.
Twin Bedroom Set in the eaves with original beams and a window to the back, this sunny room has sturdy twin beds with bedside cabinet, a built-in wardrobe/cupboard and a chair.
Family Bathroom This chic bathroom has a bath with shower attachment, WC, basin set into a vanity unit, heated towel rail and window giving natural light.
Outside Saffron sits in 12 acres of land with well maintained communal gardens and allocated parking for two cars. The communal Leisure Complex is a huge asset here, which includes a heated pool, mini fitness suite.

We stayed at Saffron in Blythe View for the second time recently.
It's set in beautiful and peaceful countryside and it is very quiet, which is what we were looking for. The apartment is well equipped and spacious, though not suitable for people with mobility issues as there are 2 flights of stairs. The kitchen has all mod cons, and three toilets. The bedrooms are all on the top floor and in the eaves, so had to watch my head when getting out of bed. We found the bed in the master bedroom to be quite uncomfortable, unfortunately. The duvet was also lumpy and could do with an upgrade. The 2 bathrooms upstairs are both modern and nicely decorated but the shower cubicle in the master bedroom en suite is tiny and difficult to move around in. The pool was unfortunately closed, which was disappointing, but we appreciated being informed ahead of our visit. What we weren't informed of was that scaffolding was being erected on the first morning of our stay, and which stayed up right outside the living room window for the rest of our time at Saffron, which put a bit of a damper on the feel of the accommodation. Overall, it was nice, well-equipped and again, the surroundings are gorgeous. We will probably not be returning to Saffron, though.
