The property

There's a warm welcome from the minute you step over the threshold into the hall with the lovely light and spacious open plan room, including well-equipped kitchen making it ideal at any time of the year. A cloakroom sits conveniently under the stairs which rise to the wide first-floor landing, and upwards to the top floor where you'll find the master bedroom with chic en-suite bathroom. All three bedrooms are, in fact, equally elegant in interior design and individually furnished with modern en-suites and far reaching views to the surrounding countryside. Blythburgh is a fantastic location nestled within the area of the Suffolk Coast Nature Reserve, just a short drive from the Suffolk coastline with the beaches at Southwold, Walberswick and Dunwich all easily accessible. A small private garden sits at the front of the house with bistro table and chairs, ideal for sitting out and enjoying the fresh air, amidst the communal grounds which you're welcome to explore. In a separate building, located within the grounds, you will find the development's private leisure facilities which include a heated indoor swimming pool and well-equipped gymnasium. Both benefit from views across the beautiful Blyth estuary. Ground Floor The front door opens into a welcoming hall with stairs leading to the first floor and doors leading into the cloakroom and the spacious open plan living/kitchen/dining room. The ground floor has solid oak flooring throughout and presents a sociable space for guests, including two large Chesterfield style sofas, a dining table and a well-equipped kitchen. Living Space A lovely sociable and light L shaped living area combining kitchen, dining and living. The living area is generously furnished with a couple of luxurious leather sofas with a footstool and dresser, with the iPod dock, Smart TV and DVD player for your entertainment, including catch up TV and Netflix. The kitchen, with window overlooking the courtyard, is equipped with a Neff electric oven and gas hob, Kenwood fridge freezer, microwave, Neff dishwasher, Neff washer dryer and electric coffee percolator. Cloakroom Conveniently on the ground floor with washbasin and WC. First Floor Carpeted stairs take you to the first-floor landing with doors to two of the bedrooms with bath/shower rooms beyond and stairs up to the second floor. Double Bedroom In this sophisticated double bedroom the cream wrought iron bed sits between a large rustic chest of drawers and a bedside drawer unit upon which sits a stunning ‘Stag’ lamp. Beside the sash window which overlooks Blythview’s central courtyard is a built in wardrobe with hanging rail and shelf above. The large en-suite bathroom with bath, hand-held shower attachment, washbasin and WC. Twin Bedroom This bedroom is perfect for adults or children with full size single wooden twin beds either side of a wooden single wardrobe with hanging rail, drawers and a shelf. Morning sunshine illuminates this bedroom through the large sash window with blind which overlooks the peaceful Suffolk countryside. Guests in the twin bedroom have an en-suite shower room with shower cubicle, washbasin and WC. Further carpeted stairs rise from the first the second floor where you’ll find a useful study area with an industrial style desk below a velux window and a door leading to the master bedroom with en-suite shower room. Master Bedroom A gorgeous boutique bedroom with French vintage style four-poster king size bed taking centre stage between cream bedside tables with drawers and pretty lamps either side. This is a bright double aspect room with open ceiling beams giving this spacious bedroom character. There’s ample storage in a built-in wardrobe with hanging rail and a cream chest of drawers for storage and the large en-suite Shower Room has a shower cubicle, washbasin and WC. Outside Hillcrest has designated spaces for two cars and ample additional parking for additional visitor and a garden, primarily laid to lawn. The house is set in 12 acres of private grounds for you to enjoy as well. Hillcrest is part of a Grade II listed conversion of a former hospital which has been superbly renovated with the communal facilities for guests including an indoor heated pool and mini fitness suite.

Southwold is a seaside town situated along the East Suffolk coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and resting between Lowestoft and Ipswich. Southwold is known as the home of Adnams Brewery which was established in the town in 1872 and it also has its own lighthouse, a museum and a picturesque pier which has a selection of colourful beach huts and which plays host to the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. The town boasts a number of excellent restaurants and eateries with a particular nod to its seaside location so there is always plenty of seafood and fish on the menu. Southwold has some fantastic independent shops, boutiques, galleries and pubs which are great for a browse and to stock up on essentials for your holiday. Just outside Southwold there are a number of great attractions for the whole family including Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich Museum as well as scenic towns such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Leiston and Lowestoft to visit.
