    “Pax Cottage is a lovely place to stay, located just a short walk into Beccles town centre.”

    The cottage has a well equipped kitchen and the bed is very comfortable. Nicki is a very welcoming and helpful host. The fresh flowers were a nice touch. There is a bit of noise from the nearby level crossing but it is not too bad. Free on street parking is available nearby and even on a bank holiday weekend it was possible to find a space every day.

The historic market town of Beccles has excellent amenities, with unique shops, many of which are independent retailers and the range of restaurants and dining facilities are impressive, with numerous cafes, tea rooms and traditional inns. There are also a number of interesting buildings, including the Town Hall and Quaker Hall, which houses the weekly country farmers' market. The more active visitor may wish to explore the town and surrounding area via the Beccles Marsh Trail, which is divided into three walks of varying distance and character.
