“A spacious and modern new house in a newly built neighbourhood.”

Very comfortable and clean. Two pubs are a walk away by the riverside with nice views on Harwich harbour on the other side of the river. Shotley Gate lies at the end of a peninsula. Exploring Suffolk needs a few miles extra.

“Enjoyed our stay for the Bank Holiday Easter weekend, we were a bit disappointed with the temperature of the house.”

It has an automated heating system where if the temperature falls below 18 degrees the heating would come on. I think that this had already been turned off as the temperature during the weekend was definitely below 18 degrees as we had a storm one evening. We had to sit around in a couple of jumpers as we were feeling cold. Other than that the house was very comfortable.

Thanks for your feedback. Sorry to hear you felt cooler than hoped. The automated heating via a heat pump system is set to come on if room temperature drops below 20 degrees Celsius. “Beautiful house!”

It had everything we needed for our holiday. The house was clean and fresh, lovely to return to after a day exploring. Informative welcome pack, we had food from the local chip shop. Would highly recommend. Great location, we enjoyed several walks down to the marina and our girls enjoyed looking at the boats and collecting shells. Would love to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property

“This property would benefit by having more equipment- cutlery, baking trays, serving dishes, jugs if you are planning on catering for yourselves, The toaster does not take normal size slices of bread, A hairdryer would have been useful, The towels and bedding were lovely, although the 13.”

5 tog duvet made sleeping uncomfortable as the house is nice and warm. Only two garden chairs are not adequate for 4 people staying in the house.

Inishnee House is located on the newly developed Barrelmans Point in one of the most scenic coastal areas of the UK, The Shotley Peninsula. Situated on the former HMS Ganges site, the development sits at the southern end of the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Ground Floor The front door opens into the hallway with the cloakroom to your left and the open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting room in front. Kitchen/Living/Dining Space Inishnee House offers complete open plan living, ideal for relaxing with family and friends. The kitchen boasts everything needed to cook up those culinary delights with an electric oven with four ring hob and extractor fan above, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Meal times can be enjoyed at the dining table or alternatively enjoy breakfast at the breakfast bar. Snuggle down on the sumptuous corner sofa and enjoy the Sky TV provided. In the summer time open up the double doors onto the enclosed garden space. Cloakroom With a wash basin and WC. First Floor Carpeted stairs with handrail up to the first floor landing area. Please note that the ceiling can be slightly lower in sections on the stairwell. Bedroom 1 Overlooking the garden, this bedrooms offers a super-king bed to reside in, with bedside tables and lamps. There is a built in wardrobe for your belongings. En-suite Offering a walk in shower, wash basin and WC. Bedroom 2 Located at the front of the property. This room offers a king size bed with bedside tables and lamps. There is a built in wardrobe for your belongings and free standing mirror. Views across towards the coastline and port can be seen from this room. Family Bathroom Featuring a bath with over-head shower, wash basin, and WC. Study/Bedroom 3 An ideal space to sit and do a spot of work, or relax and read a good book. There is a desk with monitor and chair for guests to use. Outside Inishnee House offers a fully enclosed garden mainly laid to lawn, with patio area with bistro table and two chairs. There is a private driveway for guests, with space for two cars.

Ipswich 10.4 miles; Felixstowe 21.1 miles

Shotley Gate, Suffolk is a settlement at the tip of the Shotley peninsula between the Rivers Stour and Orwell. The village is home to a Post Office with a shop, a few pubs and fantastic views across to Felixstowe, where you can watch giant cargo ships being loaded up before they sail all over the world. For walking and exploring the coast, Shotley Heritage Park has outstanding views of Parkeston Quay, Harwich, and across the River Stour to the County of Essex. The woodland on the cliff is home to a variety of species of flora and fauna, including a number of deer living in the area.
