“My partner and I had an amazing stay overall.”
We loved the decor, the modernity of the caravan. The hot tub was amazing and the gas BBQ was an extra luxury as well. The showers was lovely and the whole caravan was clean throughout. My only recommendations/issues were the mattress on the double bed was really very very firm which caused some discomfort at night, plus the duvet was a 13.5tog which in the August heat was too much. We ended up sleeping with just the duvet cover and also purchased a desk top fan to use in the bedroom. Cannot comment on the twin beds as these were not used in our stay. There were a few teething issue as well which is more than expected seeing as we were the first guests in this caravan including the porch doors not shutting quite right but with some oomph and a lift the door did close. Furthermore, the dishwasher was not plumbed in properly and so did not work, nor did the side burner of the Bbq. But these were not big issues and I don’t want to stray from the positivity of the stay overall! We would definitely return to the site in the future and recommend it to others. The takeaway recommendations would be to fix the dishwasher and bbq, and contemplate swapping out the mattress and duvet.
To add - the location is rural and quiet. Located on the edge of a village. Travel to Clacton is ten minutes. It was lovely to be set back away from the main town but still very close to travel down. There is a security barrier to get onto the site for some added comfort that your car/ belongings are safe and secure. There are large supermarkets within ten minute drive as well as a couple of local takeaways although I can’t comment on them as we did not purchase from there. Near the local Lidl and M&S is a family pub restaurant. We did eat there and the food was ok but nothing special. A classic budget friendly place. For a good meal out I recommend salt by the sea, the pavilion or black rock which are all on the beach front.
Overall, my partner and I had a lovely time away!
