    “Lovely little bungalow!”

    Travelled from Scotland so my son could spend his first Christmas with family. When we arrived the place was nicely decorated for Christmas which was lovely for my son! Travel cot and high chair all readily set up so didn’t need to worry about that. Place was amazingly clean and directions to find were easy. Parking a little difficult but don’t let that put you off, reversing in is the key! We managed it with a 4x4 and roof box. Upon arrival there was bread, cheese, butter, coffee, tea, ...

Parking a little difficult but don’t let that put you off, reversing in is the key! We managed it with a 4x4 and roof box. Upon arrival there was bread, cheese, butter, coffee, tea, milk, champagne. Lovely little welcome package! Best thing for us though is the garden was completely secure and had even put chicken wire at the bottom of the garden fence. This is a big thing for someone with 3 little dogs! Overall the most perfect stay over Christmas!!

This comfortable cottage offer spacious living for up to 4 guests over two bedrooms. There is a separate kitchen, sitting room and lovely conservatory looking over the back garden, ideal for enjoying a good book after a day out exploring this wonderful area. The cottage is an ideal base for walkers and cyclists alike. By bike you can explore the wonderful network of quiet lanes with stunning, medieval, rural villages scattered throughout offering an excellent selection of tea and cake stops - essential for any cyclist! The likes of Lavenham are a 'must visit' and culturally there is plenty to enjoy in the area. Within the hour you can be on the Suffolk Heritage coast with all the delights of this beautiful, unspoiled coastline. Whatever your reason for visiting this cottage is ideal for friends and families alike, offering a perfect base to go off exploring this wonderful part of the world.

Boxford is a beautiful, medieval, Suffolk town steeped in history and home to the oldest shop in England and a garage which claims to be the oldest garage in Europe. There is a selection of essential independent shops with an excellent butchers, general store, coffee shop and three excellent pubs to choose from, one of which accepts dogs. The area is a popular one for cyclists with the official Cycle route passing through and a very active cycling club and a wonderful base for walkers to explore the endless network of footpaths. The official Cycle route passes through Boxford and if you are a real cycling enthusiast it also has a very active cycling club. The outstanding feature of this area is that it is so very rural and pretty with tiny medieval hamlets and small villages dotted along a spiderweb of single track lanes, that even the locals get lost in. It really is amazing that this beautiful region is just an hour and a half from London.
