Salt Marsh House, Southwold

The house was very comfortable, close proximity to the sea front and had everything you need for a holiday.

The basins were very small particularly in the first floor bathroom and there was limited cupboards space in all but the top floor bedroom. But despite this we would definitely visit again.

Salt Marsh House is in a great location, near to The Common for dog walking.

The house was immaculate on arrival, and the facilities are excellent. The tv gave access to all of the streaming services. We’ve already booked again for next year, which will be our 3rd stay at the property.

Salt Mash house is a fantastic location from which to explore Southwold and the wider Suffolk area.

We stay in holiday properties several times a year and found Salt Marsh House the best place we visited so far.

It was first class in every way, excellent location, lovely welcome wine and dog treats, spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable, modern furniture and fittings, very well equipped, the owner thought of everything necessary to facilitate a fantastic stay in beautiful Southwold. Thank you.

We had a great weekend at Salt Marsh House.

It is very well equipped & immaculately clean, with everything we needed. The location is excellent within very easy reach of lovely Southwold & so good to have 2 off street parking spaces. We only had one problem in that we couldn’t get hot water to run from the main bathroom shower head, next to twin room. Plenty of hot water from bath tap, so maybe a plumber needs to look at the fitting

This is a very new property with lots of facilities, a great range of kitchen utensils and very comfortable bed.

It was very cold on arrival and took a four hours to get to an acceptable temperature. Once the house was warm it was very comfortable. Good location with lots of local walks and great shops.

This is our second visit to Salt Marsh House.

Another brilliant stay in this beautiful house. Amazing location. Walking distance to the beach and town and access to many great eateries and independent shops. Only minor negative points are related to maintenance. The shower in the bathroom would not run hot water and some of the kitchen equipment used by previous guests was not clean. That said, overall another excellent stay with our dog and highly recommended! Thank you ☺️

We loved staying at Salt Marsh House.

The house is on 3 storeys. The owner has furnished it to a very high standard. It was very clean & very well equipped particularly in the kitchen. The Utility room was very useful with having dogs. Lovely comfortable beds & quality bedding. It was very close to Southwold Town & The Beach & Pier were within 10 minutes walking distance. The property was very pet friendly & had an enclosed garden for the dogs to play in. I would definately recommend Salt Marsh House 5 Stars

Exceptionally maintained property in a great location.

Garden a bit sparse but understandable given it has to be dog friendly but overall an excellent property.

The lock box access was easy, we opened the door to a fresh clean beautiful home, and with in two minutes we started relaxing. The facilities were perfect for us, loads of crockery and cutlery, awesome kitchen. The rooms are

Salt Marsh House was a beautiful house in an ideal location.

The only downside was the lack of hanging space but we managed to get round this by using the clothes airer. Our party and 4 legged friend had a great stay.

Beautiful house in a perfect location.

It is a lovely house a disappointment was having no where to hang clothes, as there were no wardrobes in 2 of the bedrooms, we had to use the clothes dryer from the utility room.

Beautifully furnished property with everything you need for your stay.

Great location - easy walk to the pier and the town centre. It was disappointing that there was no information on what could and couldn't be recycled or the day the bins should have gone out. The recycling details are surely essential. The only wardrobe is in the main bedroom. There really does need to be wardrobe space provided in the other two bedrooms.

A very nice, clean modern house Excellent location with modern amenities If you are a light sleeper though be aware that when we stayed a neighbour's rooster was crowing at 3.

15 am every morning; it was funny on the first night but not so much as the week went on. This of course is nothing that that the owners can control and should not be a huge 'red flag'

Amazing property, so much space.

Loved the downstairs utility room as a family with no dogs, would recommend a small table and chairs in there as we used it for the teenagers to hang out in and have space away from parents! Great location. Enjoyed our stay so much and hope to return!!

Great location only a 7 min walk to the pier & 7 min walk to the village centre.

We were a family of 6 adults, 1 baby, 2 dogs. Plenty of room for us all. Spotlessly clean & kitchen well appointed. Could do with hanging rails in all the rooms. 2 rooms have nowhere to put clothes so had to live out of the suitcase. Could do with info where to put the rubbish & when they need to be put out as it was full. There’s a Nespresso machine which it doesn’t tell you on the info & it takes the large capsules. We used the travel cot. Could do with airing smells very musty. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Salt marsh house was lovely, comfortable and clean and very roomy.

It's in a perfect position for strolling into Southwold without using the car. We were blessed with wonderful weather whilst we were there and enjoyed lots of walks especially to Walerswick.

Overall pleased with Salt Marsh house, well equipped and very clean.

Would have been good to know there was a Nespresso coffee machine, we would have brought some pods! Location is good, beach is a walk down the road and we walked to most places in Southwold. We’d recommend the Randolph in Reydon, an easy walk and good food. Only negative was the bedroom window blinds. There ought to have been effective but as they were mounted outside the window recess there was a an inch gap between the blinds and the wall. Let in enough light to wake you up 

Very nice property and enjoyed our stay.

Would recommend staying here. Would suggest to owners supply rubber mats for the showers for safety and instruction on the heating system which we found difficult to get to grips with.

A really lovely high spec house which contained everything we needed for a great holiday.

This newly built home was a joy to stay in and was warm, comfortable and immaculate throughout. It was only a 10 minute stroll to Southwold pier and the beach and even less to the centre of town. A perfect place to relax, walk and enjoy the Suffolk coast.

Great location and proximity to the town with the added bonus of parking.

Sleeping accommodation was very good with lovely comfy beds. Excellent choise of Sophie Conrad china, although more of it would have saved putting the dishwasher on every day. We were a party of 4 adults so plenty of space but it would have been a big squeeze in the living room on the settees and around the dining table for 6 but for 7 definitely not enough seating. Also two of the bedrooms need wardrobe space as there is no where to hang your clothes! This aside we had a fab time and loved the house.

We have had a gr3eat time - waling to Walberswick and having a nice pub lunch in The Bel Inn. We have enjoyed waling into Southwold and the beach - dogs have had a great time on the sand. We have also visited Dunwich Heat an Covehithe beach with St Andrews Church. We had a lovely lunch at Adnams Shop & Cafe. Enjoyed food from Two Magpies Bakery and another nice lunch at The Boardwalk. We also recommend The Jewel in the Box - we had a delicious curry and thai food. We were lucky with the weather - sunny most days

What a gem of a holiday home!

We have stayed in numerous houses in Southwold over the years and this one is definitely now one of our favourites. We have booked in for '24 already in fact. Really appreciated the fact that everything was well made (John Lewis as opposed to Ikea!). Lovely feather pillows. Very comfy beds. Thank you for the welcome pack too. Highly recommend.
