Although the cottage is in a good location and generally in good condition...the internet failed on the third morning meaning which I had to return home on New Year's Eve to complete work in time and then come back two nights later when it was mysteriously resolved - to an extent. It was very slow when it was working and we couldn't get any TV (no terrestrial and attempts to watch over wifi were met with constant pauses). The electrics are in need of an upgrade - we could not get some lights to work at all and lots of mystery switches plus two of the sockets emitted crackling noises when plugs were inserted (and immediately removed, in fear!). The oven tripped the circuits when we turned it on and then took some time to figure out how to reset it so it would work. The fridge froze our food even after turning the temp up a bit.
We were grateful for the heat as it was cold in Southwold over the New Year week. Hopefully the new buyer will make the upgrades needed to make this worth the visit.
