“The property is well located for exploring Suffolk.”

We found it warm, clean and comfortable and communication with the Best of Suffolk team was excellent. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Our stay unfortunately coincided with Storm Ciaran so we experienced a deluge of rain. This meant that the pond in the field adjacent to the property spread into the car park and we were compelled to use the old decking at the side of the cottage, which was extremely slippery; this needs attention to avoid an accident. This meant that the pond in the field adjacent to the property spread into the car park and we were compelled to use the old decking at the side of the cottage, which was extremely slippery; this needs attention to avoid an accident. The log burner is a stylish addition to the space, but we found that the lack of a door on it contributed to making a smoky atmosphere in the cottage, hence we only used it once.

Whilst modern and reasonably well equipped, the property is looking ‘tired’. For instance, rust spots on bathroom radiator, cracked plasterwork at bottom of walls. Also, in need of soft furnishings as very echoey.

The weather has been very kind, making a lovely part of the country truly beautiful. We'd recommend the Two Magpies Bakery for coffee and delicious cakes.

“He whole property is in need of some TLC, in particular the decking area, chairs and surroundings.”

The bathroom also. The pictures from the listing are deceiving in my opinion. There is no cute field with sheep to look at whilst having breakfast but an overgrown field. The whole property needs a good deep clean! The bathroom had dead bugs and debris present! And surfaces dusty. The radiator was rusty and the cups and glasses dusty. We had to wash up before we could use them. The floors weren’t clean and need a good sweep and mop. The welcome box was pleasant, the bed comfortable and we made the most of our stay. I hate to complain but we have as for the money we paid we feel the standards we’re not up to scratch. We didn’t get the accommodation or experience that was advertised when we booked.

“It is very much in need of TLC and maintenance.”

Shower did not get hot (broken control)and lots of blocked outlets in shower head. Decking is dangerous. Outdoor furniture not as pictured. Couple of lights don't work. Not a fridge/freezer - it is a fridge with an ice box. One side of patio doors didn't open. Comfy bed and sofa. Nice welcome box

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to say that the owner has been working to ensure The Workshop meets our guests high standards. The decking has been replaced, and the exterior furniture has been renewed. A brand new boiler has been put in along with a new shower mixer and rainfall showerhead. All the lights have been checked and changed where necessary, and some of the walls have had a fresh lick of paint! The property

The Workshop is an impressive former farm outbuilding, beautifully converted to an incredibly high standard, which sits at the edge of a one acre wildflower meadow. Ideal for couples looking to get away from it all and relax in style and comfort, the attention to detail is apparent throughout. The elegantly designed holiday home has a fair few 'wow factors'. From the curved wall in the sitting room which leads you through to the bedroom, or the incredible patio doors and decking area overlooking the wild meadow. The Workshop has something for everyone! Open the patio doors to sit on the impressive decked area and soak up some Suffolk sunshine, or head off to the market town of Framlingham - just a few minutes' drive away. From a meal or drink at the local pub or a walk around the castle on the hill, you have so much to explore! The Suffolk Coast can also be easily reached by car in under 30 minutes. Consider The Workshop an ideal location to 'get away from it all', but know that Suffolk is right there waiting for you to explore. Ground Floor Sitting / Dining / Kitchen Sliding/folding patio doors lead from the oak deck into a large open plan living space where the focal point is a suspended spherical steel fireplace designed and made in France by Dominique Imbert. Facing it is a generous corner sofa with views out to the meadow. Other features include a large flat screen FreeSat Smart TV, a side table designed by 20th century designer Eero Saarinen and Tolomeo Mega floor lamp. The dining area is furnished with a table and chairs created by the Danish furniture designer Arne Jacobson in the 1950s, including four iconic ‘series 7’ chairs. The well equipped kitchen has a built-in cooker, Nespresso Coffee machine, integrated dishwasher, microwave and a white stone surface with sleek grey units underneath. Bedroom A curving white wall leads to the bedroom where you'll find a king size bed with crisp white 100% cotton sheets and duvet cover, a double wardrobe and Amazon Alexa smart speaker. Double aspect windows give welcome views across the meadow. Bathroom In the spacious bathroom is a large double-ended bath, wc and sink along with a huge circular shower cubicle. Outside Outside this self-catering Suffolk country holiday accommodation is a generous decking provides a delightful suntrap (when the sun is out!) and the four patio doors slide back to extend the open plan living space to the outside. The meadow gives a picturesque backdrop and changes throughout the year – arrive in the late spring and it is likely to be awash with buttercups, in the autumn populated by friendly sheep and in the winter visited by moorhens and other wildlife.

The beautiful market town of Framlingham is mentioned in the Domesday Book (1086) and has been known since Anglo Saxon times, when it consisted of several manors which William the Conqueror (1066-1087) presented to Roger Bigod. The town is of particular interest as it has a large castle and mere which was built between 1190 and 1210. The town is surrounded by lovely villages to explore and has two of the oldest working post boxes and one of Britain’s smallest houses, with the footprint measuring 6.1x2.2m! Today, the town offers a number of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and it is also home to Framlingham Summer Arts Festival.
