The property

This beautifully crafted luxurious Shepherds hut, hand built by Suffolk Hutmakers, is positioned in a beautiful woodland copse, with outside fire pit looking out onto the Suffolk countryside, perfect for breaks away to recharge the batteries. Positioned in Hollesley, the Shepherds Hut is in a superb position to enjoy one of Suffolks hidden gems which is Shingle Street, just a five minute drive away, or twenty-five minute walk away. The location is ideal for walkers or cyclists looking to enjoy the Suffolk Countryside and coastal positions. There are plenty of local pubs within a short drive including The Ramsholt Arms situated on the picturesque River Deben. Wooden steps lead up into the spacious shepherds hut accommodating two guests, with living/dining/bedroom area, with a separate shower room. Living/Dining/Bedroom Shepherds Pightle has all you need for a idyllic break away to relax and unwind. Walking into the hut you are greeted with a well equipped kitchen space with a two-ring hot, microwave oven, toaster, kettle and most importantly a coffee machine. The hut can be used in a number of ways, there is a cleverly designed pull out dining table within the bed, with two chairs provided for you to enjoy indoor meals, which can then be pushed away to create more space during the day. In the summer months the windows, or stable door can be opened to bring the outside in, but in the winter months the blinds can be drawn and the wood-burner lit to create the perfect cosy space, complete with decorate lighting. The high-rise luxurious bed position to the end of the hut has a vast amount of storage space beneath for your belongings. Imagine lying in bed in the morning, looking out across the countryside, listening to the birds and enjoying the relaxing space. Shower Room This perfectly designed space has a walk in shower cubicle, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. Outside The grounds around the hut are currently being seeded, with wild flowers. Outside the hut has fire pit complete with BBQ positioned to enjoy the views over the countryside. The Suffolk Punch horses are also kept on one of the rear fields nestled between the corn fields, a beautiful sight to enjoy. Just steps from the hut is a path leading to an area with a handcrafted bench to sit and enjoy a glass of wine whilst the sun goes down. Parking is provided next to the hut reached by a grass track. As a pre arranged treat how about enjoying a home cooked meal waiting for you on arrival. For an additional costs this could make your first nights stay even more relaxing.

The Suffolk village of Hollesley is located in an area known as The Sandlings. A number of walks can be enjoyed from the village, including those to Suffolk’s internationally important coastal heathland, where you will discover the purple landscape rich with wildlife, and Rendelsham Forest is well worth a visit with its challenging bike park, play equipment, picnic area, circular walks and trails. Just outside Hollesley is the Suffolk Punch Trust, which is dedicated to preserving the endangered Punch Horse, whilst nearby is the historic market town of Woodbridge, offering riverside walks, independent shops and the world famous Tide Mill. Other places of interest include the National Trust owned Anglo Saxon burial mounds of Sutton Hoo, Framlingham and Orford Castle, the seaside town of Aldeburgh, the village of Thorpeness, Snape Maltings, and the attractive Suffolk coastline.
