The property

Chapel Cottage is a truly charming, pet-friendly, family cottage located in the village of Newbourne. It is the perfect location for those looking to escape to the Suffolk Countryside while still being close to the Suffolk Coast and beautiful rivers. The idyllic cottage boasts an array of character, complete with wood burning stove with brick surround and a well within the garden. On the ground floor is a spacious kitchen/dining room, utility room and family sitting room. Cottage stairs lead up to the landing with two bedrooms and family bathroom. Outside is a secluded walled garden with a feature table above the well with seating and a BBQ. Ground Floor Enter into this gorgeous cottage through the porch, leading into the hallway. Carpet and tiled flooring run throughout the ground floor. Sitting Room A homely space to retreat to at the end of a busy day exploring all that Suffolk has to offer. There are two sofas and separate arm chair, with occasional tables. There is a 42'' Smart TV for your entertainment, along with a cosy wood-burning stove, perfect for those tranquil relaxing evening with a glass of wine in hand. Kitchen/Dining Room A spacious kitchen/dining room to cook up a storm. The kitchen includes a every mod-con required to cook those culinary delights, these include a double electric oven, four ring hob, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. There is a washer/dryer, 70/30 fridge-freezer and a microwave located in the utility room. A wooden dining table with four chairs and decorative lighting above is positioned to the rear of the room, with a stable door leading out onto the courtyard garden. Utility Room A handy space located off the kitchen, with a washer-dryer, 70/30 fridge-freezer and microwave. First Floor Carpeted cottage stairs with a door at the rear leads up to the first floor landing. Bedroom 1 This beautifully light bedroom with carpeted flooring is the perfect tranquil retreat, with wooden framed king-size bed, chest of drawers with mirror above and ample built in storage. Family Bathroom Featuring a bath with overhead shower, wash basin, heated towel rail and WC. Bedroom 2 Overlooking the courtyard, this room features a single bed with additional option single bed and bedside table. There is a chest of drawer for your belongings. Outside Chapel Cottage benefits from a secluded walled courtyard. The owners have made created a unique table utilising the old well, a perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine or dining alfresco. Whilst Chapel Cottage does not have allocated parking, you can park in the 'Newbourne Fox's' car park, however it is suggested you enjoy a meal or drinks there during your stay. Local Area Chapel Cottage is located in Newbourne, a wonderful part of Suffolk. There are beautiful walks for your party and furry friends to enjoy around the Newbourne springs, as well as neighbouring villages including Hemley and the River Deben. The property is just 1.5 miles from Waldringfield River, 3.5 miles from the market town of Woodbridge, and 6 miles (15 minute drive) from Felixstowe. The property is also just 1 mile from the nearest supermarket and a nice stroll to the local award winning village pub The Fox. The local café in Newbourne is called Nourish Café and Deli and specialises in seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.

Woodbridge is a historic riverside market town boasting an outstanding selection of independent shops, restaurants and pubs. The town has been famous for boatbuilding, rope and sail making since the Middle Ages. The working tide mill is a major attraction and a must visit for anyone staying in the area. The River Deben runs alongside the town and is popular for boating, walking and wildlife with wonderful views over to the National Trust site of Sutton Hoo. The town hosts a number of events throughout the year and is a wonderful place to visit.
