Three Chantry Barns, Orford

Lovely house.

Clean and well equipped. However the bottom bunk bed mattress wasn’t very comfortable as you could feel the springs.

Absolutely delightful cottage in a gorgeous village.

The cottage was well stocked & clean. We couldn’t have asked for a better location in relation to Orford. Orford is a lovely little village with gems in the oyster age, bakery pubs & convenience store - all settled around a fabulous quay - offering lovely walks too! The house is next to a working farm which was incredibly noisy from 6am ish for most of the day. We did find this disturbing. The double & bunk beds werent overly comfortable. However overall we loved the house & Orford - .a great holiday.

Home from Home, really well appointed, quiet and a lovely farm location with a short footpath through the fields down to the Ore river front and into Orford via the scenic way on top of the riverbank dyke.

Location is handy for the river boats, Pinney's smokery, shop, pubs, cafe's and restaurants in the village, and in sight of the Castle. Recommend the garden, beer and food in the Jolly Sailor especially if you have a dog. We had a great restful week.

The cottage is well appointed,it had everything you would need.

Unfortunately the twin beds were so uncomfortable it was impossible to get a good night sleep, considering the feedback from other visitors regarding these beds l can't understand why the owners have not addressed this problem.....new mattresses or at least a memory foam topper , please!!

orford is lovely and for us chantry barns was perfectly placed and excellent inside , unfortunately my wife broke her femur/hip on southwold pier after catching her foot in loose ropes from a lifebelt.

Lovely atmosphere and spotlessly clean. Parking big bonus in orford. This is a lovely place & second time staying in chantry barns so will be back again,

Chantry Barns is a lovely development.

Cottage is very well equipped, everything you need in the kitchen, space, seating, showers all great. Only negative is the mattresses in the twin and bunks, both very uncomfortable- recommend changing because spoils an otherwise great cottage. Also suggest moving the bench by parking bay because it makes reversing into the end barn parking space difficult. Orford is a lovely village to stay, great bakery, pubs and fish smokehouse.

We found the property very well supplied and prepared.

The local facilities are good and the weather made outings very easy. Parking was simpler if we backed into the space from the driveway gate. The fridge is very small but overall we were delighted with the holiday in a quiet and pleasant area.

Perfect accommodation in a glorious setting ,we've had two wonderful, very happy holidays at Chantry Barns and are now planning third!

Wonderful cottage with everything you could possibly need for a family holiday.

This was our third visit and it won’t be our last.

The stand out qualities of this cottage was the perfect cleanliness and the range of equipment.

It seemed that everything had been thought of. Location was perfect - short stroll into the village along one of the footpaths, or to the quay along another. We had a minor issue during our stay but a quick call to the caretaker had it sorted the same day - couldn't fault the helpfulness and speed the issue was addressed. The cottage sleeps 6 but there is only one designated parking bay. (hence the not perfect score for facilities) In a perfect situation we would have had two. But this really is nit-picking. A great place to stay.

The cottage is modern, clean & incredibly well kitted out, we had absolutely everything we needed for a really comfortable weeks stay.
