The property

Upstairs there’s a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a single bedroom and a bathroom. The cottage is decorated throughout in light blues and beiges that create a restful environment. Ground Floor Open Plan Living/Dining Room The front door leads into a large spacious living/dining room with pine floor boards and a rug. The living area has ample space to relax with two brown leather sofas positioned to enjoy the wood burning stove in the chilly monts, a flat screen TV with FreeSat channels, DVD/CD player, and a stereo with an Ipod docker. There is a good selection of books and DVDs for you to enjoy during your stay. The dining area has a large granite topped oak dining table and seating for six people and a lovely enlarged photo of the sun rising over the sea at Aldeburgh on the wall. Inner Hall A small hallway beyond the living room leads to the kitchen, shower room and stairs to the first floor. Kitchen: The kitchen has beautiful handmade kitchen units, a Bosch gas hob and Bosch electric oven, Smeg dishwasher, Smeg washing machine, Bosch microwave, fridge and freezer (tucked under the stairs). A stable door leads out to a small patio area with table and chairs - great for morning coffee and the newspaper! Shower Room: This contemporary styled room has a large shower, hand basin, w.c. and heated towel rail. 1st floor: A small landing leads to three bedrooms and a bathroom. Bedroom 1: The pretty twin bedroom, with cream rug sitting on the floorboards, has a matching wardrobe with drawers for your clothes in addition to matching bedside tables. Bedroom 2: This king size bedroom has a beautiful wrought iron bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers and built-in wardrobe. Again, the period pine floorboards are covered by cream rugs. Bedroom 3: Sunlight floods into this single bedroom, sitting quietly at the back of the cottage, which has a full-sized single bed, bedside table and wardrobe with pine floorboards and a cream rug. Bathroom: The contemporary mosaic tiled bathroom has a ¾ length bath, a hand basin, w.c, and a heated towel rail. Outside: The cottage has a very small patio at the back of the property, reached through the kitchen. On-road parking is usually available in nearby side streets.

About the location

Thorpeness 2.1 miles; Saxmundham 7.2 miles.

The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. For those wishing for a more action-packed holiday there is excellent walking, cycling, sailing and golf at Aldeburgh. Growing in popularity you will want to return to Aldeburgh again and again!
