Delightful cosy little cottage for 2, ideally situated at the end of Aldeburgh's delightful high street.

The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable.

There is a lot to put up with if you decide to stay at this cottage.

When we opened the front door, the smell was dank and musty and the smell was also present in the bedroom. We had to buy room diffusers as, without these, we would not have been able to stay. There was only one key and if you shut the front door it locks; we had to be very careful to make sure that one of us was holding the key every time we went out. The cottage is a three minute walk from the beach but there was nowhere to dry damp swimming clothes and towels, not even a line in the garden. Instead of the rush mats shown in the photographs, the kitchen and living room have thick, dark green rugs on the floor. They seem unhygienic; bare floors would be easier to keep clean. We stayed for two weeks at the end of August/early September and were only provided with one set of towels and bedlinen. The bin outside was full when we arrived and the local council refused to empty it, so we had to leave our bags of rubbish in the kitchen when we vacated. A previous reviewer has commented on the rotten door frame in the bathroom and flaking paint outside and we can attest to the accuracy of their comments.

Clean property, we’ve booked to stay there next year.

It has everything you need, the bathroom is more a wet room, has a shower curtain so doesn’t make any difference. Powerful shower, plenty of kitchen bits to use good size garden. The only thing I would suggest is a welcome pack, there is a coffee machine and biscuits in the tin but a few tea bags, milk and extras on the side would be a nice. Bedding and towels are good quality and you feel very much at home. Would highly recommended hence going back again.
