The property

Cliff Cottage is a wonderful, pet-friendly detached house nestled in the village of Mundesley in Norfolk, ideal for families seeking a coastal escape, with an indoor heated swimming pool, calming sea views to the rear and the benefit of partial ground-floor living. On arrival, you draw into the gravel parking area beside this generous five-bedroom home, where the peaceful atmosphere immediately encourages you to slow down and settle into holiday mode, the welcoming frontage giving way to far-reaching coastal vistas beyond the garden that firmly root your stay on the North Norfolk coast. Inside, the ground floor unfolds into a warm and sociable living and dining space, with wooden flooring underfoot and a large dining table at its centre, perfectly suited to leisurely breakfasts, shared evening meals and conversations that linger long after the plates are cleared, while a spacious corner sofa set on a textured rug invites relaxed evenings in front of the Sky Stream TV. The kitchen feels light and homely, finished with white units and tiled flooring, and arranged around a small sitting area with a circular breakfast table where gentle morning light filters in, complemented by a dishwasher and everything required for easy group catering or enjoying local produce, with a practical utility area close by housing a washing machine, tumble dryer, coffee maker, air fryer and fridge freezer, alongside a convenient ground-floor shower room with a separate WC. A wide spiral staircase rises to the first floor, adding character as you move through the house, where a second sitting room provides a quieter retreat, softly carpeted and furnished with armchairs, a sofa and a fluffy rug, offering a peaceful spot to watch films on the second Sky Stream TV or simply pause to take in open sea views from the rear-facing windows. The bedrooms are thoughtfully arranged across both floors to suit a range of groups, including a king-size bedroom with its own en-suite shower room upstairs, a flexible super-king zip-and-link room, a ground-floor double, a single bedroom and a playful bunk room, all bright, carpeted and designed with restful nights in mind, supported by a family bathroom on the first floor. One of the home’s most memorable features sits within the house itself, where the large indoor heated swimming pool forms part of the main property, complete with its own shower and WC and offering the pleasure of a warm swim whatever the weather, whether easing into the day or unwinding after time spent outdoors. Outside, the garden encourages unhurried moments in the fresh sea air, with spaces for morning coffee, alfresco lunches and evenings that stretch on beneath fairy lights, supported by outdoor seating, a barbecue area and a charming Honey Pot corner that enhances the relaxed coastal feel. From Mundesley, days out unfold naturally, with coastal walks leading to Cromer’s clifftop paths, traditional pier and softly coloured beach huts, inland journeys drifting through the reed-lined waterways of the Norfolk Broads where birdsong and open skies set the pace, and historic afternoons spent at Blickling Estate, wandering sweeping parkland beneath ancient trees around its stately house, all combining to shape a stay defined by ease, scenery and timeless Norfolk charm.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £600.
