Bramertons Nest, Long Melford

We visit frequently and are never disappointed by "The Nest".

A great base for our exploits in Sufflok. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Bramertons Nest was the most amazing house in Long Melford.

It was in emaculate condition, with a very well equipped kitchen, super comfortable beds, high quality linens and towels and a very warm and comfortable living and dinning room. Bramertons Nest also had a lovely outdoor sitting area ideal for morning and afternoon teas, and a sunny spot to sit and relax. The house was well situated and central to the town of Long Melford, and close to the city of Sudbury as well as other small charming villages and towns. The owner was extremly friendly and very helpful with many suggestions of things to see and places to visit while we were staying at the house. In addition the housekeeper was so amazing and took very good care of us making sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend Bramertons Nest for a short or long stay. Well done Richard. A very modern house in a good central location with easy parking.

The 2 en-suite bathrooms were lovely and the house was very well equipped and good kitchen. Very clean and tidy. Down a private drive so quiet too. The only thing that let it down was the winter duvets which were too hot. Disappointed having contacted housekeeper a week before visit that no summer weight bedding was available. We did not sleep well. Yes the house has air con but we did not want to use air con when there was no heatwave. No blankets provided as an alternative either. A shame when the rest of the facilities were great.

We had a lovely week in Bramertons Nest.

The cottage is clean, comfortable and maintained to a very high standard providing everything we needed for our week away. An added bonus was the air conditioning which was brilliant on warm nights. Highly recommended.

Exceptional - the best cottage we have rented in recent years.

Modern, well designed, spacious and fitted out to a high standard. Conveniently located in a secluded setting to the rear of premises in the main street of the village. It is ideal for a quiet retreat or to explore the area. The heating and cooling system ensures comfort throughout the accommodation.

This is our 2nd visit it’s a lovely property and the owners are very friendly.

Lovely cottage enjoyed being able to walk to shops and pub for something to eat.

Would have liked a pair of kitchen tongs to use plus more mugs. The Kettle works fine but was quite scaled up so could do with a deep clean. Lots of lovely hot water and soft towels would recommend this property to friends.

Excellent cottage well placed in the village.

Plenty of interesting places to visit close by such as Melford and Kentwell halls. Also the Gainsborough exhibition in Sudbury and the Guildhall at Lavenham. One small niggle is the difficulty in locating the property.

Bramerton's Nest is an excellent holiday home quietly located in a cul-de-sac off the main road yet within easy walking distance of all Long Melford has to offer.

The accommodation is thoughtfully designed and excellently equipped and maintained. We were staying in mid-winter but the heating system kept us nicely warm. Highly recommended.

The attention to detail was second to none. It’s in a lovely location near to shops and excellent places to eat.

We’ve enjoyed our stay immeculate.

Everything, and much, was there and was far above our expectations.

Generally an excellent property. We did mention obtaining a larger parasol for outside table. It is a shame that It is not more secluded and has a better garden area. Aside from this it is ideal for getting out and about.

Our holiday property was very clean well equipped and comfortable with top quality furniture etc.

The only problem we had was the electric oven and microwave. The electric oven was very complicated, my friend and myself both have up to date Neff and Bosch ovens but the oven in the property was so complicated it was difficult to get it working properly. There was only 3 pages of instructions so this did not help. The microwave was situated on a shelf very low down which made it difficult to access especially for elderly people with limited bending and eyesight not what it was. We felt this would be better placed on the work surface. Otherwise we had a lovely holiday with lots of places to visit and the property being on the high street an added bonus.

Property itself is beautifully presented and comfortable. Nothing to criticise.

Fully equipped ( washing machine , dishwasher etc). Very comfortable beds, sofas and lovely en-suites. Would definitely return and also recommend.

This was our 3rd stay in Bramerton's Nest, so that's the clue as to how much we like it there.

The property is really stylish and comfortable, with lovely linen and fluffy towels. It's clear that a great deal of thought went into this property. They are very lucky to have a housekeeper who keeps Bramerton's immaculately clean. When you arrive there's wine in the fridge and milk. Plus a few little treats. Along with the house being lovely, it's situation in Long Melford is ideal, having off road parking. We will definitely continue to return to Bramerton's. Highly recommend.

An ideal property for a short break.

Comfortable with everything you need and in a quiet and secure location. The car charging point was a bonus. We will definitely return.

Bramertons Nest is a stylish well maintained property.

It’s a peaceful haven, but conveniently placed to walk to the many shops along Long Melford High Street. The property is very comfortable and clean. We would have no hesitation in recommending a stay, or returning ourselves. Thank you to Richard for a warm welcome.

This is such a relaxing place to stay.

It is beautifully clean, the beds are extremely comfortable, the linen and towels of the best quality, and all the kitchen equipment is excellent. We loved it and hope to be back soon. Thank you!

We would recommend this property. Just off the high street. Very handy for shopping. The house was lovely, very clean, & very Quit. It had every thing you needed for a great stay. Great for the bus trips too.

The small thing that was missing was more smaller dishes for nuts, crisps etc.

A tiny adjustment would help, but everything else was excellent. It is a comfortable, clean, well maintained property in an ideal position. A haven of peace.

The house and garden were just so peaceful and comfortable. It was a real treat to beable to walk to shops and restuarants. One minor issue you didnt tell us in the instrutions that we needed to request the use of the car charger . All sorted quickly once we requested it.

Lovely house in a very quiet position, yet within walking distance of pubs, restaurants and cafe’s.

The house is very modern and comfortable, being beautifully decorated with quality furnishings. The cooling system was very much appreciated during the hot weather. Would definitely recommend this 5 star accommodation as a base for touring beautiful Suffolk and neighbouring counties.

in a fantastic location in central long Melford… idea for 4. Beautiful concrete finished shower and kitchen with top of the range cooker, dishwasher etc. would recommend particularly to maybe two couples wanting a peaceful gastronomic location as great restaurants in the village.

Everything was as it was advertised to be. It was in a very central location but also very peaceful. It was a lovely holiday.

This holiday home is wonderful.

if you choose, you can leave your car throughout your stay.( Local transport at the top of the road! ) the house is clean, warm,and has all the contents needed for self catering if required. We have been going on short breaks in this country for over 25 years, this was definitely one of the best!!

Bramerton's Nest is a very apt description of this lovely holiday cottage.

It is tucked away down a private driveway despite being in the middle of the busy Long Melford Traffic. It is quite with bird song the only interruption. The cottage is well-appointed with state of the art appliances. The décor is as peaceful as the environment. The beds were comfortable with the only criticism being the hardness of the pillows (I prefer softer). The property owner was there to greet and check everything was fine and also bid us farewell at the end. I can highly recommend this lovely little nest!
