“Delightful property (we've stayed here before) badly let down by very poor customer service.”
Advertised as having Wifi (important to me, as I needed to complete some work on-line), but Wifi not working when we arrived (booked to stay 8th - 12th May). We had not been advised of this problem, so had to contact Admin, & was told the router had developed a fault the previous day (Bank Holiday w/e) and we'd been sent an email advising this (we never received one!), but a new router should arrive next day (Tues) or Wed at the latest. Received an email on Tuesday to say there was a "delay in transit" & the router should be installed by Wed or Thurs at the latest. No further comms from Sykes, router still not appeared by the time we left on Friday! I can't understand why a router could not have been sourced within a day or so (I could have got one myself from Amazon with next day delivery), and there can be no excuse for lack of information from the management team.
All in all, a very poor experience from property management, which caused significant inconvenience and marred our stay.
